Not What it Seems

Hey so this is the first book that I'm going to write i honestly do not have the best grammar in the world so if i make mistakes let me know so i can fix it.

Prologue

I'm running fast. The sound of foot steps behind bring sheer terror to my chest. I'm so tired my dress is wet and torn from the branches that snag them. I trip and fall on the ground something sharp and painful cuts my knees and bring tears to my eyes. I'm in so much pain, I try to get up but its to late. His cold cruel fingers grab me by my hair and yank me up.

"You will never get away with this" I spat

He simply just smiles and raises his hand to deliver the final blow that would kill me.
