prologue

Once upon a time, long, long ago, well more like twenty years ago. Belle married her beast in front of six-thousand of their closest, personal friends.

Big cake.

Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, beast united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected King of the United States of Auradon.

He rounded up all the villains and the side kicks, basically all the interesting people, and he booted them off to the Isle of the Lost, with a magical barrier to keep them there.

At least that's what the text books say, you see the villains weren't the only ones who were sectioned off on their own little island. Albeit the Villains definitely had it way worse, but the fact that they at least get mentioned in the history kind of stings.

No Mans Land sat in the complete opposite side of where the Isle of the Lost stood. That's where all the sidekicks and seemingly 'good' people who had no royal status lived.

The history tries to proclaim that there is only good and evil in the world, but that's not true. Now the residents of No Mans Land were all seemingly good, but they did like to have a little mischievous fun here and there, which was why they had their own little island away from the perfect Royals.

They loved their little island, sure the WiFi sucked and their homes were cottages all built by hand out of stones and straw surrounded by miles of lush forests and rivers and not a castle in sight, but they were happy. They all worked hard and provided for their families and never complained.

They stayed together, until about a year ago when King Adam held a meeting with No Mans Land's proclaimed leader Robin Hood. The King proposed to try and unite the two nations, he wanted to form a bond between them and help each other out.

Robin Hood was cautious given his background with royalty, he found it hard to trust the man, but after a long period of thinking it over he gave the King a chance. They started small by allowing some of the young adults fresh out of high school, to attend Auradon Prep, their local college.

That's how Wynona Pan daughter of Peter Pan, ended up here along with three of her closest friends, River Hood -daughter of Robin Hood-, Elliot Agnés -son of the local Gypsy Esmeralda-, and Annabelle Liddell -daughter of Alice in Wonderland-, were some of the chosen No Man kids to be able to attend the prestigious school, of course there were others but they were the only important ones in their eyes.

The school was amazing, they finally had their own space away from the tiny homes they grew up in, and they finally were able to become something of themselves without having who their parents are affecting them.

But that didn't mean they didn't miss No Mans Land, they missed being able to cause trouble without getting detention -even though it doesn't stop them. They missed getting into adventures because they fell down a rabbit hole Annabelle's mother accidentally left open, or magic lessons with Tinker Bell, and don't even get them started on how many rules there were compared to home.

But they were grateful and their parents taught them to kept their mouths shut because they could have it worse off like the villain kids, so in their eyes they were considered lucky.

And it also helped that they did make some new friends with the Auradon students and that made their transition here a bit easier.

Of course the parents of the royal kids didn't agree, they knew what kind of trouble they get into and they didn't want their precious princes and princesses to be tainted by them. But they were all adults so there was nothing stopping them from tainting the young royals, and boy was it fun.

Causing trouble and pulling pranks was the only thing that brought some entertainment into the boring day to day school life, so of course they had to bring in some of the uptight Auradon kids, but with the soon to be Kings new proclamation it seems as though things were about to get a whole lot more interesting and Winnie and her crew couldn't wait.
