Beach Area
Draken wiped his sweat and placed the hammer on the table. "Thank you for doing this with me, Ken", Mitsuya passed a bottle of soda. "All for our best boy", the man stood and drank. They both looked at the beach with still few people visiting. After an hour, the place will be emptied. "When I brought her here and was about to confess 10 years ago, I was glad I listened to you", Mitsuya was referring to holding back his confession and allowing Chifuyu to settle with his feelings for the girl that he love. "Because of that, I was able to get the approval of Matsuno and the three of us could sit in a room without having to stab each other", the lilac head gave a soft chuckle.
"I was a little hesitant to tell you about it because that might cause you to take pity on Matsuno and put others before you as you usually do. That's when I realized you really love Azumi", Draken smiled and elbowed the man. "I grabbed all the lights available!", Peh-yah raised strands of fairy lights. Pah-chin was behind the two carrying boxes of drinks. "That's a lot. It can light up the entire beach walk", Draken laughed. "I brought some with me. It's a surprise that you're here", Mitsuya gave a fist bump. The two started to hang the lights following the instruction of the lilac head.
"Ta-ka-shi~", two brothers appeared with their portable ramen van. "Then, how do you like your noodles? Spicy hot or mild?", Smiley got out of the van.
"Huh?! You call this a shed?!", Taiju commented and started telling Draken how to make it more sturdy. "We're not building a permanent shed", the man explained. "Who cares?! When you do something, you have to go with a baam!", Taiju shouted attracting the attention of those on the beach.
"Taiju-san. Don't just leave us hanging in the road", Koko waved. Behind him are Inui, Rin, and Ran carrying bento boxes. "I am no longer sure what is happening here", Mitsuya looked at Draken who just shrugged. "We brought fireworks, Taka-san. Mana and Luna tagged along as well", Takemichi gave a wide smile and the ladies waved their hands. "Ken. I left our kid to my brother's place", Emma ran directly to him and gave him a tight hug. The place was getting more and more packed.
"Ran~ how do you feel about sabotaging this event?", the siblings made it audible for Mitsuya to hear. "Those idiots don't really know why we're here but we're aware", Ran looked at the lilac head with a grin on his face. Sanzu slapped the back of their heads. "You don't know how scary she can be", the man got a taste of her lecturings when he brought a sword into one of the brawls. He was even challenged to do kendo with her and he lost an embarrassing count of 10 out of 0.
"Mikey is here with Kawaragi", Takemichi ran in their direction and welcomed them. "Well, whatever", Mitsuya looked at the crowd and smiled. Hina noticed a box of ring on the table and gasped. She realized what this day was for. Mikey messaged them and said it was for the reunion but didn't give the most important details. She crossed her arms and nodded.
Car
"I bet you already have skyrocketed net worth", Azumi teased her friend. "I'm also paying for Baji-san's tuition. We need more veterinarians in the clinic", the blonde sighed and tightened his grip on the maneuver. "You really got tons of patience when it comes to your Baji. Anyways, your mom called me and told me there's a pretty lady always visiting the clinic", the raven head gave a soft chuckle. "She's a regular. Mom keeps sticking her nose in my dealings with girls", Chifuyu clicked his tongue. "Kazetora-san would complain to me about how you're more popular with female clients", Azumi opened the window and felt the breeze.
"I'm interested in someone", Chifuyu finally opened. "That's what I want to hear from you. And, who is this someone?", Azumi was all ears and excited to hear it. "You will laugh at me", the man gulped and started to feel warm on his cheeks. "Senju?", the raven head said making Chifuyu pull on the side. "What?!", Chifuyu's face is all flustered. "Senju called me but she ended it. So, back to what we were talking about", the woman turned in his direction and saw how red he was. She laughed and realized who the man was referring to. "You really do like someone who can kick your ass", Azumi gave a thumbs up. "Senju's someone I would be confident of. Raise your head, Chifuyu. She's a tricky lady but your persistence is not a joke. Plus, you're used to losing so you'd get used to being turned down maybe thrice or five times", the raven head patted his shoulder.
"Are you really on my side?", the blonde continued driving the car. "You'll do great, Chifuyu. I have so much confidence in you", Azumi said with a calm voice.
Beach-Shore
"It's been a while since I came here", she spread her arms and closed her eyes. Chifuyu looked around and saw a couple of heads peeping. He panicked and opened his phone. "Chifuyu, look. The sun is about to set", the raven head pointed at the horizon. For a while, the two basked in the beauty of the serene moment. "Azumi. When we met for the first time, I felt so bad that someone wouldn't smile that much. Right now, I'm glad that you are generous with your smile. I want Taka-san to know how grateful I am. I know that your smiles became brighter because of him", Chifuyu grabbed her shoulder and gently led her to walk down the stairs.
Shore
Azumi squinted her eyes and opened her phone as a flashlight. Soon, the place brightened up with all the fairy lights hanging around the place. She blinked for some time seeing a bunch of picnic mats on the sand. As her eyes adjusted, she could see Mitsuya sitting on the table. He stood and reached out his hand. Azumi chuckled and walked towards the lilac head. "What is this?", the lady crossed her hands. "It's been three years since we started going out", Mitsuya reminded. The two remained friends for high school and university days. They just officially started going out when Azumi graduated and came back from Australia.
"Takashi. Is this the Kawata's ramen? I was craving for them", she held his hand and led him to sit with her. The lilac head chuckled as he lost to the ramen. He just nodded and watched as Azumi gladly slurped on the noodles. "I'm their huge fan! You see, I would usually go to their shop after work but it's always fully packed", Azumi said with a slight pout. "It's still warm. Did they come here for a special delivery?", the lady looked around. Mitsuya could see the head popping behind Azumi. He grabbed on her face.
"You can finish the food. I love seeing you eat", he gave a nervous laugh and signaled Takemichi to drag Hakkai away.
After some time, music played around the shore. Mitsuya was also surprised by it. "I love this song. Let's dance", Azumi stood and twirled with her dress. It was one that Mitsuya designed especially for her. The clothes he makes for her aren't something he releases to the public. Azumi would often be asked by her workmate where she gets her clothes. The man held her waist and hand. "Azumi. You look so happy. Did something happen?", Mitsuya asked. "Takashi, Chifuyu is in love and guess who it is", the raven head felt so excited to tell it when they heard a siren. Mitsuya saw Chifuyu using one and hoped it wouldn't make Azumi turn. It was so loud that the lady slowly turned her head towards the direction.
Mitsuya planted a kiss on her with them still dancing on the sound of the music. Azumi withdrew with a flustered face. "Tell me if you're going to kiss me. I wasn't prepared for that", she burrowed her face into the man's chest. "Azumi. Thank you for choosing me. I will make sure you won't regret your decision until the very last of your breath", Mitsuya knelt down and opened the proposal box. The raven head gulped and her eyes started to warm. "I always tell you on your birthday how happy I was that you existed in the same era as mine. I want you to find meaning in spending your life with me", the man gave a smile. "Takashi, I-", her words were cut when the fireworks exploded in the sky. The former members of Toman went out from hiding as well as the ladies. They started popping confetti.
"I haven't heard of the answer yet", Mitsuya grabbed on Azumi's hand but he was carried by Taiju and the boys threw him in the air. "That was so lovely", Hina hugged her and the ladies started to tease her.
"Our timing was perfect, right?", Rin and Ran winked at Azumi. "Right? You both really know how to get on my nerves", she said and her aura became dark. Sanzu dragged the two to save their lives. Hakkai is still crying on Yuzuha's shoulder. Takemichi hugged Chifuyu so tight making Hina even jealous. Draken is clapping like a proud father. Koko is already computing how much will be spent on Mitsuya's wedding. Mana and Luna are adoring Wakasa and even taking pictures with him. Mitsuya is dragging them away from the man. "He's half your age!", he lectured. "You cannot tell us who to like, brother", the sisters found their way and hugged Wakasa tightly. Takeomi cried imagining his friend in jail for an illicit relationship. Baji and Kazetora are catching crabs and showing them to Chifuyu.
"Sorry for ruining your special day", Inui stood next to the lady. "I don't think you ruined it. I felt fortunate to have such supportive friends. I bet Takashi didn't really call everyone but you found your way here", Azumi smiled.
"Then, let's have a feast!!!", Mikey announced.
