Leslie and Paige kept on moving, this long walk was making us both tired. As much as Paige wanted to quit, she couldn't. She knows her father is out there somewhere, she wanted to make sure he's okay at least. Paige searched inside her backpack, looking for any food that she might have had. The only thing inside was a granola bar. Paige wasn't even that hungry, so she gave it to Leslie. Leslie looked like she was going to pass out if she didn't eat anything. Paige also found two water bottles, she gave the other one to Leslie. Dad always said that water is more important when it comes to survival.
They continued down this pathway, the only thing surrounding us was a bunch of trees and dirt. One of those things was in our direction. Leslie scattered behind Paige, she had this gut feeling that she needed to teach Leslie how to shoot. "Hey Les, I have an idea." Paige gave her my pistol and went behind her, my arms directing her arms straightforward to the zombie.
Leslie's hands started shaking, she was getting nervous. "Paige! I can't do it, I'm too scared. What if I mess up my shot?!" Paige told her it was going to be okay and that she was right behind her. She stopped shaking and took a deep breath. Paige told her to keep her eyes on the target and make sure her finger was on the trigger. When Leslie was about shoot, one of those fuckers grabbed the backpack. Paige was on the ground struggling to get up, it tried biting her arm as she kept moving. Leslie was screaming my name, which alerted the other zombie we saw. It started running towards Leslie, she then screamed and pulled the trigger. Luckily Paige grabbed one of her knives from her bag and stabbed that fucker in the head.
Paige pushed it off of herself, panting and puffing. Who knew that killing zombies would be so difficult? Movies and comics make it look so easy.
"Sis! Are you okay?" Leslie asked while picking me up.
"Yea, I'm ok-"
Ah shit! My arm got bit, I have to see if we have any bandages.
"Oh no! Are you gonna turn?! Paige I'm scared."
"It's fine Les, I'll patch it up."
Paige put the bandages over her wound, her whole arm was fucking burning, bleeding, and sore. Luckily she won't turn into one of those things, she'll just have to deal with the pain. After patching herself up, Leslie and Paige kept moving... again... Both of them were still not giving up on their dad though, they know he's out there somewhere. Waiting for his girls to come home. Paige kept thinking back to the letter, maybe he's in a hospital or camp. The letter even kept saying he was gonna find us, but where?
Paige paused for a moment when she heard a rustling noise. She told Leslie to get behind her, also giving her a signal to take out her pistol. Paige looked everywhere to see what that noise was, it looked like it was nothing. "Keep moving Leslie, don't let the noise distract you," Paige said. The rustling kept getting louder and louder. Leslie was getting annoyed with watchever was making that noise. She gets in front of me, raising her pistol.
"Whoever is out there I will shoot! Quit following us!"
"Les! What are you doing?! Get behind me."
Someone was behind the tree, Paige thought this was James playing a stupid prank on them. No matter how much James takes care of Paige, he pisses her off.
"No! I don't want anyone to fol-"
"Leslie!"
A needle shot out of the tree, Leslie started looking pale and then passed out. Paige was screaming for her to wake up but she wasn't responding. A second needle shot to Paige's neck, she quickly pulled it out. Paige tried to focus on who was standing behind that tree, the only thing she could see was two people with a white smiley mask. Their shirts were marked one and two. Then her vision went blurry and she passed out on the ground.
