Yuki POV

Some time had passed since the Midterms. Currently, in July, students are attending school while eagerly awaiting their upcoming vacation, of which I still have suspicions.

For me, it was a boring life with only student council work, helping my classmates, and hanging out with my friends, as well as Shiro and Kiyotaka. Nothing interesting had been going on lately.

Until recently, when Sudo Ken from Class D was recently accused of intentionally assaulting three Class C students, although he maintains that it was an act of self-defense.

Due to this, a trial will soon be held where both classes will try to prove their points. Then, the one who will truly be guilty of the incident would be punished.

Due to Honami-chan's helpful and caring nature, and our suspicions regarding Class C, Class B has chosen to support Class D in proving Sudo-kun's innocence. This is why I am also involved in solving this mystery.

This also means that Kiyotaka and I will be working together as two detectives trying to solve a case together. As for Shiro, he has chosen to not involve himself and simply observe this charade.

I know, boring, right?

Currently, Horikita-san, Ichinose-san, Kiyotaka, and I were in the special annex, where the brawl between Sudo-kun and the Class C students took place. It was where I revealed my affiliation with that place to Sakayanagi-san.

The place had no cameras, meaning that we couldn't watch the fight through CCTV footage. Moreover, since there was no air conditioning here, scorching heat filled the entire area. A person won't remain calm for long with this much heat affecting them.

This evidence strongly indicates that Class C was responsible for orchestrating the entire brawl, and that Sudo-kun was, in fact, innocent. By bringing Sudo-kun here and intentionally provoking him, we can certainly tap into his notorious short temper and violent inclinations. This would undoubtedly create an ideal scenario to witness his explosive reaction.

Honami: "Well then," she began.

Honami: "Since there aren't any cameras, we don't really have much concrete evidence."

Suzune: "That's right, meaning that we need to interrogate someone who actually saw it." She replied, her eyes narrowed while observing the whole area for some clues.

Kiyotaka: "What do you think, Yuki?" He asked out of nowhere. So he's trying to bring me into the spotlight to blend into the background perfectly.

Yuki: "Well, what Horikita-san suggested is the best thing we can do right now, especially since judging by the location of the incident, it's clear that those 3 students were lying." I replied.

Honami: "Who can we contact though? According to Sudo-kun, there was no one else around the incident, right?" She interjected, asking a valid question that even I am curious about.

Suzune: "There is one student whom I have my suspicion." She revealed, causing us to pay close attention to what she said next.

Suzune: "Sakura Airi from my class." She revealed further. Hmm, Sakura Airi...

...

...never heard of her.

Honami: "How can you be so sure, Horikita-san?"

Suzune: "When Chiyabashira-sensei told us about the incident, I noticed that everyone except for Sakura-san were either looking upward, or arguing with Sudo-kun. However, Sakura-san, on the other hand, was looking downward, as if she was trying to avoid the situation." She explained thoroughly, her tone betraying no emotion.
