More than friends (Liam Payne Fanfic).

Chapter Three.

LIAM'S POV

"has anyone seen Lauren?" I asked around.

"no she came back to the hotel but then she went again" Louis said preparing himself.

Shit. Had the whole Danielle thing pissed her off or I don't know, what else has made me not come and see me.

"hey everybody" Lauren shouted.

Thank god.

"where have you been you numpty?"

"sorry I forgot to say, I was meeting Lewis, my boyfriend"

WHAT! SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND AND SHE DIDN'T TELL ME! 

"you never said" I smiled.

"I did, we have been together for 3 months!"

Wait I think I remember. We met him when we were out partying and she mentioned that they were getting together, but still, she never mentions him. 

"right I'm going to my seat. see you guys after the show"

Something didn't seem right but I couldn't worry about that because we had a show to put on. 

LAUREN'S POV

The show was amazing, I have never heard screams like it and all I wanted to do was sing along with them and dance and go crazy. I was sitting with Anne, Gemma and Karen, we all had a great time. 

"wow guys, you were incredible and Liam I loved the fact you said hi to Poppy, I bet that made her night" I smiled. 

"well it was the least I could do"

This was the last night before going home so Liam said he is taking me out for a late dinner and that I better be ready in an hour.

I stood out the front of the hotel waiting for Liam but he was late and he's never usually late, so I called him.

"Liam? where are you?"

"I...."

"Liam, whats wrong? tell me?"

"I'm in the hotel room, I need you"

"I'm coming now."

What the hell is wrong. One minute he's energetic on stage and next he's in tears on the phone to me. This is not like him at all. 

KNOCKING ON LIAM'S DOOR

"Liam let me in please?"

"is it just you?"

"yep, just me"

He opened the door and his eyes were red from where he had obviously been crying for a while. All the 19 years of knowing him, I haven't seen him like this in ages.

"Liam?" I asked as I sat on his sofa.

"Danielle pissed off cause I was taking you to dinner and we had an huge argument"

"oh Liam" 

I pulled him in for a hug and he held on tight. He always did that when he was upset. I like Danielle and I understand that me and Liam are close but we have known each other for 19 years and we are like brother and sister so nothing would ever happen, ever! Anyways I'm with Lewis now and maybe if I tell her that they will be ok. 

"babe, I'm just going to get something and I promise I will be back"

"ok and Lauren, thank you"

I smiled and took his phone. Danielle didn't have my number so if I call her off my phone rather than his she will pick up so I dialled her number.

"Danielle?"

"yes, who's this?"

"it's Lauren, look before you hang up I thought you should know that I have been round and seen Liam and he is distraught"

"all he wants to do is spend time with you and you two quite obviously have some chemistry and.."

"let me stop you there, me and Liam are like brother and sister and I also have a boyfriend myself so please come to the hotel and talk to him, he loves you"

"ok, I haven't got that far down the road so I will turn around"

Thank god for that. I don't know what I would of done if those two broke up. They are perfect for each other in every way possible and she is a lovely person but I hate it when she does that. 

I stood outside to wait for her and it wasn't long before I saw her pull up in the back of a taxi. 

"Danielle, look" before I could speak anymore she hugged me.

"I'm so sorry Lauren, I should of known that nothing would happen between you two"

"he has made reservations at Ask, I know it's nothing big but take him there, it will be nice"

"thank you so much" I took her hand and I walked her to his room and let her in. I saw him smile and I knew everything was going to be ok, so I thought I would pop in to see the others and spend the night with them. 

"HAZZA!" I shouted as I walked through the door. 

"alright babe" he came over and kissed me on the cheeks.

"fancy a night in?"

"of course" he smiled.

We had a couple of drinks and ordered room service and had a lovely night in. After Liam, I was closest to Harry, we are on the same wavelength and get on a lot better than I thought we would have, it's nice having a friend who knows how I feel half the time. 

I told him what had happened today with lunch and dinner and he cuddled me as tears slowly left my eyes.

"god I am so stupid for crying, I guess all I wanted was to spend some time with Liam"

"you're not stupid Lauren, look stay the night, it's late and you're upset" Harry smiled.

"you sure?"

"course have my bed"

"the sofa will be fine"

"don't be stupid, have my bed now" he insisted.

So I got into his bed and snuggled up, but all I really wanted to do was snuggle up with Liam.
