SAIRA'S POV

I stood in front of the mirror, ready to remove my ghoonghat, when I heard the soft click of the door handle turning.

The door swung open, and he stepped inside without glancing around the room.

He locked the door behind him, turning to face me.

Our eyes met in the mirror's reflection, and I felt a jolt of electricity race through my heart.

The intensity of his gaze was almost unbearable, making my heart pound wildly.

He stood there, staring deeply into my soul, while I struggled to maintain our eye contact.

He looked like the moon in that ivory sherwani, a moon without any blemishes.

'Hazar khubsurat chehre ek taraf, par is Chand ka alag hi Noor hai'

His sharp features and striking handsomeness seemed to add more to his charm-those mesmerizing grey eyes, his sharp jawline, and his perfectly sculpted nose and a figure of a Greek god.

I fear that I might fall for him.

Sometimes, just a person's eyes are enough to make you fall in love, and his eyes seemed to hold that magical power in them.

Today, his words after the nikah literally shocked me. Why the hell was he behaving like that?

Mai Aashiq banne par majboor kar rahi hu, Begum Saheba, hayathi, and what not.

Anyway, he told me not to take those things too seriously. But those words literally did something to my heart.

My dumb heart was pounding inside my chest widely at that time.

And that forehead kiss. When his lips touched my skin, it felt as though my heart had jumped to my throat, giving me the whole zoo in my stomach.

Suddenly, I realized I was checking him out. His presence was overwhelming, drawing me into a trance.

I snapped out of my thoughts and cleared my throat, trying to regain my composure.

He blinked his intense eyes, his gaze never leaving mine, as he said "ammi ko bolna padega meri nazar utarne ke liye. Unki Bahu nazar laga rahi hai mujhe aise ghoor ghoor kar"

But I royally ignored him.

And then he slowly removed his shawl and the intricate neckpiece, placing them carefully on the table.

My hand moved to remove my ghoonghat, but I froze as I saw him approaching me with slow, deliberate steps, like a predator closing in on its prey.

His eyes, dark and intense, were locked onto mine.

I gulped, feeling my throat tighten, but I chose to ignore him, pretending to be unaffected.

He stood beside me, his presence dominating the space between us.

With a mocking smile, he said in a mocking tone,

"Ohh, shukar hai. Tumhari ganga jamna behna band ho gayi. I thought ke aaj to idhar baadh ajayegi aapke aansuon se."

I rolled my eyes at him, my irritation barely contained.

But before I could react further, he grabbed my hand with a firm grip.

His voice, low and threatening, sent a chill through me as he said, "Dare you roll your eyes at me again. Otherwise, you won't like my other way of making you roll them."
