A/N Sorry this chapter was late and short I'll try to make the next one better. If any of you guys have any ideas for a chapter let me know and I can try to add it

Amber and Luna Hawthorne sat in the backseat of their dad's truck, the city skyline fading behind them as they approached their new home in the wood-side town. Amber stared out the window, a small smile playing on her lips. "This place has potential," she thought, trying to see the positives. In contrast, Luna sat with her arms crossed, a scowl on her face. She missed the bustling city life and couldn't imagine finding anything enjoyable about their new surroundings.

Their truck pulled up to a charming, two-story house. The exterior was painted a soft yellow with white trim. A large, wrap-around porch beckoned invitingly, and tall pine trees bordered the property, casting dappled shadows across the front yard.

Amber hopped out of the truck, her enthusiasm evident. "Dad, this place is beautiful! Look at all the space we have!" she exclaimed, moving to help her dad unload boxes.

Luna, however, slipped out of the car quietly and headed straight inside. She wandered through the house until she found a bedroom at the far end of the hallway. It had a large window overlooking the forest. She closed the door behind her and sank onto the bed, determined to shut out the new world around her.

Amber and her dad worked efficiently, unloading boxes and furniture. Despite the hard work, Amber's spirits remained high. "We're almost done, Dad. This move might be the fresh start we need."

Her dad smiled, though his eyes held a hint of worry. "Let's hope so, Amber."

Once the truck was empty, Amber decided to check on Luna. She knocked gently on her sister's door. "Luna? Can I come in?"

"Go away," Luna's voice was muffled and filled with a mix of anger and sadness.

Amber sighed, respecting Luna's wish for solitude. As she walked away, Luna pulled out her phone and began scrolling through photos of her old friends. Silent tears streamed down her face as she reminisced about happier times.

A week had passed since their move, and it was time for Amber and Luna to start at their new school. They stood in the main reception area, feeling out of place. Mrs. Thompson, the headteacher, greeted them warmly.

"Welcome, Amber and Luna. We're so happy to have you here. Let me take you to your first class," she said, leading them down the hall.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Davis, their new teacher, waited with a welcoming smile. "Good morning, girls. Come in, and I'll introduce you to the class."

As they entered, Amber's eyes scanned the room. One student, in particular, caught her attention. There was something strangely familiar about him, but she couldn't place it. Amber chose a seat near him, while Luna, still sulking, sat as far away from Amber as possible.

Mr. Davis introduced them. "Class, this is Amber and Luna Hawthorne. Let's make them feel welcome."

The day dragged on, and as soon as the bell rang, Luna bolted from the room. Amber lingered, trying to gather her things slowly. The familiar-looking student approached her.

"Hey, Amber, right? I'm Eclipse. I couldn't help but notice we have the same last name."

Amber's eyes widened slightly. "Oh, really? That's interesting. I grew up in a city not far from here. Maybe we have some distant relatives in common."

"Maybe," Eclipse replied, looking thoughtful. "What about your family?"

Amber started to answer, but the bell rang, cutting her off. "Sorry, I have to get to my next class. We can talk more later?"

"Sure," Eclipse said, watching her leave.

Amber and Luna's dad waited for them at the school gate. On their way home, Amber mentioned her encounter. "Dad, we share a last name with one of the students in our class. His name is Eclipse."

Their dad tensed slightly but quickly brushed it off. "That's a common name. I'm sure it's just a coincidence."

Amber frowned but didn't press further. The rest of the ride home was filled with idle chatter about their first day.

At home, Luna retreated to her room while Amber helped her dad with dinner. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to this strange connection with Eclipse. Later, she sat on her bed, looking out the window at the darkening forest, thinking about her new life and the mysterious familiarity of Eclipse Hawthorne.

Luna, on the other hand, lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. She felt the weight of the change pressing down on her and wished she could go back to the city, to her old life. She hoped that maybe, just maybe, things would get better with time.

As the days turned into weeks, Amber remained hopeful, seeing the move as a new adventure. Luna, however, continued to struggle, her heart still tethered to the city life she left behind. Their dad watched them both, hoping they would find their way in this new chapter of their lives, together.
