The moon was high in the sky like every other day , the roads of the Seoul still loud and noisy with adults getting off the work , students messing around with their friends in their own teenage dramas . Kids on their parents shoulders tired of whatever adventures they won over that day .
A woman in her early twenties walking into an family restaurant , in her business attire and heels as they made sound with every step she took . As she entered she let her legs carry her to the booth she has been coming to for the last 3 years , every Saturday without a miss.
" I'm here " the woman said in a tired voice
"Here comes ms. Lawyer " Said the youngest as the other two glanced up with Warm faces . Her ride or die.
Jenny's pov :
Time .
It ticks in a weird way.
Slower when you are troubled. Faster when you are at your prime.
People had quite different description for time in their life time. That it stopped when they saw death in front their eyes , that it stopped when they saw the love of their life for the first time.
That it stops when the gods wished for it to.
I might not have experienced all of them , but I sure as hell know that time indeed does go relatively slow when we suffer . And real fast in our prime .
The times when creepy John tried to touch me or hit me , the time around me literally slowed down and when we escaped from his lair , time flew
One minute we were struggling teenagers and busy adults in the next. One minute we were finding part times all the damn time and now everyone of us well settled.
I own, my own law firm . Vanessa is a software engineer. Natsha is the main chef in a top 5 star hotel , she works there only for 6 hours , but gets paid a full time salary and also owns a small cafe which she runs from morning to evening.
Sara is a cob, unsurprisingly. It was either a cob or a gangster, so happy it was the former .
Us 4 , now live in a single ,independent house which we bought on a loan but now are gonna pay of in a couple of months. If someone were to say that we will be what we are today , Vanessa would have splashed water on their fucking face and asked them to wake up and Sara would have face Slamed them into the ground for a good meassure they wake up .
But here we are now.
Getting every thing we want , being able to afford things we want without looking at the price.
Such a win.
The first thing I did after I became a lawyer is to sue the creepy fucker , John. We got him so good , bitch got a life time.
