Charlottes pov:
It has been almost a year without one of our former staff, maddison. I haven't heard from her ever since she moved to a different nursery, we kept in contact for maybe 2 months after she left but we ended up not talking anymore. Anyways, it's Friday, and the nursery is about to close after the last parent comes and collects their child. Carly is also in the room just starting to finish cleaning and sanitising the room as the last parent walks in. I walk over to the parent and spoke.
Char: "Jimmy, your mummy I'd here!"
I say to the child and look at the parent.
Jimmy's mum: "how has he been today?"
Char: "he has been great! But we did have an incident earlier"
Jimmy's mum: "Oh, my! What happened"
I start to explain to Jimmy's mum how he fell over on the play ground but he was super brave when he got hurt. I finished talking to the parent and began helping carly finish the room.
Me and carly chatted while we cleaned the room, around 10-15 minutes later we were about done but I noticed carly looking towards the door so I stopped and before I even got to turn around I heard a familiar voice. One that I haven't heard in over a year!
???: "Hey char"
