It had been 3 weeks since i saw sorscha, and today was the day I, sorscha, charlotte, marjorie, and Autumn, were going to have a girls' night out! I had a shower and then got into a nice dress and a cardigan as it was nice out but still cold at night, I also put some nice sandles which had a bit of a heel. It was around 6 pm and we were going to all meet up at 7:30 so I had plenty of time to do my makeup and head to where we were meeting. Charlotte asked if she could bring another person with her, I agreed, and everyone else did too.
I was 3rd to arrive, bring marjorie was first and then autumn was second. Soon thay followed by sorscha and then charlotte and her other guest. I hadn't met the woman but she was quite tall, had red hair which was up to her shoulders, she was wesring a black vest, a leather skirt, black boots and a leather jacket to match the skirt. Charlotte introduced me to the woman, and her name was mia. Well, Amelia but mia for short.
We started our night at a bar, and surprisingly, the first thing Autumn did was but a drink. I hadn't seen autumn for a long time, and the last time I did, she wasn't the kindest. So I was wary at first but I started to re-know the new autumn. We talked, laughed, and caught up with each other until we were stopped by a parent recognising marjorie, autumn, charlotte, and sorscha.
Parent: "Marjorie?"
Marjorie turned around and saw the parent and spoke.
Marjorie: "Karen? Hi?"
Karen scanned the table and noticed me. I remember her well. When I worked at the nursery, she was unease, let's say, when it came to my sexuality.
Karen: "How's your evening going? "
I knew she had a dirty look in her eye, and I saw her climbing back and forth between me and Marjorie. Everyone sensed the unease with what energy this parent was giving off.
Marjorie: "Umm.. it going well. Sorry, I don't want to keep you as you miss time with... your friends?"
Karen: "No, I insist! It's fine. " Everyone knew she did intact mind, but no one said anything. It stayed quiet for a few moments before mia spoke up.
Mia: "So, do you need something? Or what. We would like to get on with our evening, but you kind of ruined it."
Charlotte: "Amelia!"
Mia: "Sorry, sweetheart, but it's the truth. Someone had to ask, "
Karen: "Actually, there is something." She paused for a moment before speaking again. "You know you should really go and see our savour. He can help with any... misguidance and... sin you are in"
We all knew it was directed at me. I was the only openly gay staff member at the time. That's before sorscha came out and some how obviously some how this parent did not know about sorscha or even the fact Mia and Charlotte were dating.
Maddison: "I'm sorry. What are you talking about?"
Karen: "I mean your.... the way you live. Kissing.... women"
We all went in shock.
Marjorie: "I'm sorry. But what does that have to do with you?"
Karen "I'm saying my god will... except you and turn you to the right path."
Autumn was going to say something, but she didn't.
Marjorie: "Should we let the guard dog off the leashe?" Everyone nodded and turned to autumn. Before she spoke, Karen was extremely confused
Karen: "What guard dog-"
She was cut off my autumn
Autumn: "You are the most idiotic, most insensitive human being I have had to even listen to in a while. So you best move on before I send this glass at your head and let you out to bleed and in pain. I will throw you out this bar BT your scrawny looking shirt and make sure you regret even speaking, not even breathing the same air molecules as us. Tou got that."
No one was shocked at how autumn was speaking. I was a little as her anger was more controlled from when I had to work with her. The parent looked terrified before speaking again.
Karen: "Very well then." And she walked away, and we all burst out laughing.
Sorscha: "Who's taking the next round of drinks?!!"
After that, the night when smoothly. Stars appeared in the sky. The slight breeze hit just right coming from the coast. And a friendship group re-birthed into something greater.
