MOST OF THESE GAMES ARE ALL MADE UP BY ME <3 I know that the FA is near the end of the season but for this story, it's going to be at the beginning.

Madison's POV

I was able to play my first game with United on January 14th, even though I only trained for a day. They had so many injuries that they needed all the help they could get. So I played the FA Cup game against Newcastle United. I didn't start, which I was fine with. But I was subbed in at the 71st minute.

I was able to put away a goal in the 91st minute to help extend the lead from 4-0 to 5-0, which ended up being the final score.

The announcer for the match started playing Style by Taylor Swift, and everyone in the stands started singing it.

Ella gave me a big hug, and we had a celebration almost identical to one from the national team.

The next game I played was the FA Cup semi-final, in which we played Chelsea, and we ended up winning 2-1. I assisted Ella in the 23 minutes.

Then we went to the FA Cup final, which we played against Tottenham Hotspur.

Rachel Daly, Lauren Hemp and Ellie Roebuck were all in the crowd for today's match.

I started due to one of the other forwards being injured, and I scored a brace, Rachel Williams scored one and Ella scored 1 to help us win 4-0.

So we won the FA Cup, and we were all super happy.

After the game Ella and I talked to the girls before we celebrated our win.

I hope Grace is called up next time because I feel like we could be a great duo.

"Hey, Ella? Do you think Grace will be mad if I go say hello to her?" I asked.

"Nah. She's a lot friendlier than she seems. She's just intense on the pitch," She said.

"Okay cool,"

So I found myself talking to Grace Clinton, last year's WSL Young Player of the Year, and a girl who was my opponent about 9 minutes ago.

"Grace Clinton? Hey. I don't know if you know me or really care but I'm-"

"Madison Lewis. I know you. You're literally amazing," She said shaking my hand.

"I was coming over to tell you the same thing!"

So we talked for half a minute, and it felt like talking to an old friend. She was just super kind.

So then we played Brighton and I scored 1 and Ella scored 1 to draw 2-2.

Then we played Leicester City and we won 1-0 with Ella assisting me.

Then on February 17th, I scored against Arsenal.

But while this was happening, Ella and I were sneaking around behind the backs of all our teammates, which made me feel a bit guilty, and I'm not sure why. We both slipped up a few times because we could say these things on video calls with Alessia Georgia and a few others on the national team, but no one here had any idea.

Except for maybe Mary Earps.

One time Ella and I went out to lunch with Phallon Tullis-Joyce and Aoife Mannion, and we slipped up pretty badly.

Ella had said she had somewhere to go tonight with her friend Jacqueline from school, who had come to visit. I wasn't invited and also didn't want to be the third wheel, so I stayed out of it.

But I did say, "So you won't be home until really late?"

"Probably not,"

"So I won't get a goodnight kiss?" I asked.
