Shi Miming said: "They are used to being superior and they divide people into different levels."
"You mean, I am ninth-class in their eyes?" Li Que raised his eyebrows.
"That's not the case." Shi Miming smiled faintly, "But it may be third class."
"That's new. I've never been treated as a third-rate person before," Li Que said with a twitch of his lips. "That's new. I want to give it a try."
Li Que grabbed the curtain and strode in.
Shi Miming smiled bitterly, shook his head, and followed him in.
Upon entering the room, the first thing Li Que noticed was the large screen on the TV wall playing financial news and projecting financial indexes and market trends.
The wealthy people hold their glasses, sometimes look at the TV, pay attention to the pulse of the global economy, and sometimes exchange their views on the market. The sound of the TV is not harsh, but blends into the whole space and becomes a part of this elegant place.
Li Que noticed that there were also cases where couples were present in the wine tasting room - provided that both partners were investors.
Not only that, Li Que found that almost everyone present was familiar - either a familiar face often seen on TV, or an elder from a family, or even a peer.
Everyone was a little surprised to see Shi Miming and Li Que appear together.
Obviously, in their opinion, Li Que should not appear here.
Most people won't say anything, though.
Because Li Que was brought in by Shi Miming, not giving face to Li Que would be the same as not giving face to Shi Miming.
We are all in the same circle, there is no need to make it so ugly.
But unfortunately, there was another enemy of Shi Miming sitting in the room - Lin De.
What was even more unfortunate was that standing next to Linde was Li Que's enemy - Jeff.
Jeff used to be a classmate of Li Que, and he couldn't stand the fact that Li Que could go to Harvard despite his poor academic performance.
Linde and Jeff walked over with a smile and said to Li Que, "Hey, isn't this Mr. Shi's lovely wife who studied at Harvard?"
Li Que felt a toothache when he heard the word "beautiful wife". Seeing Lin De's face getting worse, he said, "I wonder where did you graduate from?"
Linder smiled and said, "I'm from Wharton."
"Oh, so you are the bald man who read Wharton?" Li Que said slowly.
Shi Miming almost laughed out loud when he heard this.
Linde choked.
Jeff's face darkened and he sneered, "I heard that you've been learning about investment recently? But I'm afraid it's not going to work. If I remember correctly, you can't even figure out the multiplication and division of two-digit numbers."
Li Que was hit in the sore spot and immediately sneered like a cat with its fur standing on end, "Then you remembered it wrong."
"Really?" Jeff narrowed his eyes. "Then Mr. Lin will give you a random question. Can you try one?"
Jeff's words were so loud that everyone present actually heard them. Most people pretended not to care out of politeness, but everyone here pricked up their ears - perhaps listening to gossip is human nature, and no matter how rich and powerful a person is, he is no exception.
