Once Derek walked in with the energy drink, Eden was already asleep, on the floor. "I'll just leave this here for her." he told Penelope, who nodded. Derek left the office and went to the conference room, to be briefed on the case. Penelope gently shook Eden awake.
"Your energy drink arrived" "Mmm, thanks." Eden's voice was a sleepy mumble. "No problem, kid" "I'm twelve, technically not a kid, I'm a preteen, more commonly known as a tween." Eden sleepily pointed out, opening the energy drink can, and taking that first sip.
"I'm gonna have to brief the team, will you be alright in here, by yourself, for about fifteen minutes?" "Yeah, I will," Eden quietly said, "go ahead, brief the team, I'll be fine, I'll just be studying, ok?" "Alright, Eden, have fun." "I will... well, I'll be studying, I wish I was doing anything else" Eden gave a small smile before she began listening to Eclipse by The Rose, as she began studying.
Penelope gave a nod, then left her office, and made her way to the conference room, where she handed out tablets and a file for Spencer. "Ok, so there's been a string of murders in California." Penelope said, then began to brief the team about this new case. "In California?" Emily asked, "I thought the worst thing that happened there was the earthquakes, thanks to California being its own fault line." "The San Andreas fault, yeah." Spencer said, "But that's not the worst thing in California, there can and will be unsubs from there." "Exactly." Penelope said, "And a popular Kpop boy group, BTS, will be going on tour, first stop? Orange County, California" "Eden loves BTS, Haley promised to bring her, because she knew i'd be busy." Aaron told the team. "I bet Eden's excited." Penelope stated, "getting to go to a concert to watch the performance of seven boys, who are also from Korea." "Yeah, enough talk, wheels up in thirty" Aaron then remembered Eden's pleaded "Stay safe, please" and his promise of "I will E."
The team got on to the jet and were talking to Penelope. "Garcia, are there any connections with the victims?" Aaron asked, during the call with Penelope "Yes, they're all actors and actresses, just starting their careers, only starred in about six movies each." How many victims?" Emily asked, it was a valid question. "Three, so far, two actors, one actress." Penelope paused, "all of them were of African American descent, and made their debut with the Hallmark channel, sub-channel, Mahogany." "We need names, Babygirl" Derek suddenly spoke. "Anthony, Amara, and Andrew, all were promising talents in the acting world." "Sounds like our unsub is a white supremacist." JJ stated, "targeting people of different races" "We can't be sure, until we have enough information for a profile on this unsub." Aaron pointed out, the team nodded at that comment.
