You and Dazai return to Kunikida who is typing away on his computer sitting atop his desk, ignoring the presence of you both until he had completed writing a report for their current investigation. After some time, he rose from his seat to face you and Dazai. "Why would we need her assistance if we're getting help from Ranpo?" Kunikida narrowed his eyes towards Dazai and crossed his arms over his chest while the brunette returned his question with a shit-eating grin.

"Why not? Let her have a little fun." Dazai placed a hand on Kunikida's shoulder and forcefully turned the man to face the opposite direction where a man with messy black hair stood.

His eyes were close and his mouth was covered with the crumbs of what appeared to be various chips and cookies. "You guys seriously can't have me doing all your work." The shortest of the three men turned their head away and placed both hands on his hips, playing a frown on his face that was visibly fake to everyone. He appeared to be glad that you guys had requested help behind the pout that slowly curled upwards into a grin. "Alright, let's go to the morgue." He abruptly says before pushing past the three of you as though he stood above everyone else and looked down at you all as a superior. These people are a lot different than you had expected.

The drive to the morgue so far isn't exactly silent with the yelling of Kunikida and the loud munching of food from Ranpo beside you. A car ride you hadn't exactly experienced before, but it wasn't all that bad. Until Dazai stated he wanted to drive and leaned over Kunikida to take the steering wheel on an empty highway. The car swerved and screeched on it's tires, crying out for mercy through the smoke that unfurled from where their black rubber made contact with the asphalt. Kunikida desperately tried to get him off, but any careless move would cause the car to go off the road and ultimately lead to everyones' death, so his movement was limited.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Kunikida acquired control over the steering wheel once more and spares Dazai an agitated glance that recieves an innocent smile in return.

"I was just playing around, I wasn't actually going to kill us all even if I wanted to—"

"WHAT KIND OF SANE PERSON NEARLY CRASHES A CAR AS A LITTLE JOKE?!"

"You're overreacting, Kunikida. The two in the back had fun, right?" Dazai turns to look at addressed two in the backseat whom are teetering off their seats with wide eyes and fists clutching the handles above their heads. Empty and closed wrappers are scattered throughout the seat and floor, initially from the paper bag of sweets Ranpo had taken with him on this supposedly short trip.

"ONE STAR REVIEW!!" Ranpo exclaims with a childish pout, leaning down to pick up the goods that spilled onto the ground due to the reckless driving protrayed a few seconds ago by yours truly: Dazai. Even though you haven't gotten the chance to know Dazai, this seemed like him. Exactly something you had imagined him to do.

"One star is better than none." Dazai says with a shrug before turning back in his seat to face the road, watching the birds chirp and spread their wings as the vehicle passed them. Each bird passed with a blur, disabling the chance to properly see their beauty from the confinement of the window which heavily contrasted the freedom of the birds who flew freely without a care in the world. How different living beings could be from one another. It was a fascinating and confusing concept. He, a human embodiment, locked away from the world and his own body while a bird, a liberated animal, flashed it's privileges in the man's face. A big difference stood between just one animal and his kind. Dazai was indeed a living being, though he either had been misplaced in the world or had been disguised with the skin of a human because he didn't feel exactly human. Sure he was a creature with two legs and two-hundred-six bones, but human wasn't the category he would put himself under. He definitely wasn't any other living thing such as a plant or animal either. So what was he? He wasn't so sure himself. All he knew is that he was unalike human kind within.
