It has been four years since Sheldon became known as Plusefire, the Green Flame. Now, at fourteen years old, his pale greenish skin was honed with an athletic build from his occasional training during the summer with his uncles and the daily training in the area built for him back at their home in Middleton His emerald green eyes now had a more striking expression, and his rounded facial features were now more sharp. He balanced the challenges of adolescence with the responsibilities of being a hero.

It was a lovely sunny day as the sun shone brightly over Middleton,   casting a warm glow over the city's serene landscape. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves,   adding a whisper to the air. Sheldon and Calvin were lounging by a pond in the local park. It was a peaceful refuge away from training. Sheldon was wearing a green hoodie with a black t-shirt graphic design of a tiger on it. He also had dark jeans and green sneakers with a black wristband on his left wrist.

Calvin, with his fair skin, short wavy ginger hair, and ice blue eyes, was more energetic in contrast to Sheldon's more composed demeanor. He wore an orange and white jacket unzipped with a short-sleeved green shirt with yellow stripes along with brown shorts and orange sneakers.  The two of them had been inseparable since the day they became friends, their bond only strengthening as Calvin learned about Sheldon's hero persona while most only recalled him as a former villain child.

"Hey, what do you think of my latest gadget?" Calvin asked, his excitement evident as he held up a pair of thick green and black boots.

Sheldon's gaze shifted from the tranquility of the pond to the boots."What do they do?" He inquired, intrigued.

Calvin's grin widened."When you generate your plasma, the boots will absorb it and use it to boost your speed," Calvin explained.

Sheldon nodded."You know I haven't fully mastered plasma manipulation throughout my body like my mother. I'm still only good with my fist," He said, impressed with the new boots despite not being sure how useful they would be at his level of plasma manipulation.

Calvin's enthusiasm didn't waver."Exactly, these boots could be useful.  They'll help bridge the gap of your current levels and help you have a place to focus the plasma while learning. Besides, even if they only give you a slight edge, it could make a difference in a tight spot."

Sheldon took the boots and examined them closely. "I appreciate the thought, Calvin. I'll give them a try during my next training session with my mother," He said, genuinely grateful for his friend's support.

"Cool and next time I come over, maybe me and your stepfather can talk about inventions," Calvin stated.

Sheldon chuckled, a lightness in his voice."Yeah, I'm sure my father would enjoy that he does love his science, and you can just say fathe,r, not like I know my birth father anyway," He commented, a hint of bitterness seeping in his tone despite his attempt to brush it off.

However, their conversation was cut short by a sharp beeping sound
causing him to glance at his wristband that had a flashing red light. He tapped it as a small screen revealed a message and GPS location. This wristband was a gadget Calvin made that alerted him of criminal activity and where it was coming from.

Sheldon narrowed his eyes as he mentally read the details about a
incident at the museum involving a stolen bird artifact, and he knew only one person loved those kinds of artifacts, which is Feathergale.

Feathergale was a notorious criminal with an obsession for rare avian artifacts and beating up those who would dare cage a bird. He had crossed paths with Feathergale many times, and his crimes were unmistakable to not have his usual motive.

Sheldon immediately stood up and glanced at Calvin." I gotta go catch you around!" He called out to Calvin,  who nodded in understanding.

Sheldon quickly made his way to a secluded spot in the park, away from the view of people in the park, as he changed into his updated hero, even better than the one he started four years ago. The suit was mostly black with some green accent on his shoulders and lower arms. There was a white and green emblem on his chest, and he wore a dark green mask on his face. His suit was lightweight and durable, designed to withstand the heat he generated.
