chapter 1

Three months ago...

"Jacie," Caprice sighed. "It's the first weekend back at school and I really don't want to go to a party at some fraternity." She said as they finished settling into their apartment just off LSU's campus.

"Seriously Price. You can't just stay holed up in the apartment all year long again. It's not healthy to sit in here by yourself studying, reading, and listening to Taylor Swift." Jacie rolled her eyes at her friend. "I know that" Price mumbled as she continued  to unpack.

Caprice didn't enjoy partying or large crowds. She preferred to sit at home on her couch or in her room reading and listening to Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter playlist. She didn't need to go drinking to relax a good book or maybe a movie would do the trick, but not to Jacie.

Jacie loved nothing more than dressing up and letting loose at a party. She enjoyed letting the alcohol and music flow through her body while she danced. She understood her friend didn't have much of a wild side but she wanted to help her open up and have fun. She tried plenty of times to get Caprice to a party their freshman year but it never worked.

Jacie pulled Caprice away from the boxes and made it so they were sitting side by side on the bed. "Price, I know you don't like going out or drinking but I want you to enjoy college and meet new people," she said. "Maybe even a guy that isn't made up and from one of your cheesy romance books." Jacie looked at her while holding up one of her favorite books.

"Jace I'm not in search of a guy right now, I just won't have time. As for the party, I will go to this one but that is it." Jacie squealed and ran out of the room mumbling about finding her friend and outfit.

It was a Friday night and the party was Saturday meaning Caprice had to finish unpacking tonight. She proceeded to put her clothes in her closet, feminine and beauty products in the bathroom, hanging up all of her pictures and lights in her room, and organizing her books on the mini bookshelf.

After she finished organizing her room she ate dinner and went to bed. Caprice had the party on her mind and couldn't help but feel like this year was going to be different. She wasn't sure how yet but she knew deep down things were going to change.

A/n:

Ahhhh!! okay so this is the very very first chapter, I know its not great but be patient im hoping it gets better. also i apologize for it being short but i kinda wrote it on a whim and didnt really put much thought into it. Also i hate short chapters so they will be longer as i get more comfortable at writing but this is it so far. ill try and do another chapter tomorrow but idk if ill be able to.
