It's officially the day of the party and to say Caprice is nervous was an understatement, and Jacie's constant nagging was not helping. All she has heard about so far today was what they were going to wear, how their makeup was going to be done, and what time they were going to leave. "So, I'm thinking you can wear that embriodered body suit with a pair of cute jeans." Jacie  said while they were finishing up their late lunch. "I don't know Jace, I kind of just want to be comfortable."

"You're not going to find a guy by being comfortable," Caprice rolled her eyes at this. "I'm not going to meet guys we have talked about this. The only reason I am going is so you won't make me go to another one." Jacie chuckled at her introverted friend, "Well, I am going to go shower and start getting ready since the party starts at five-thirty and is now three." Her friend took care of her dishes and left to get ready.

Caprice went to the bathroom to shower and blow dry her hair before she curls it. As she was doing her hair Jacie barged in and went straight to her closet digging through it in search of clothes. Before she knew it she was trying on fifteen outfits before they settled on the jeans and body suit after all. "You look great!" Jacie said as she grabbed Caprice a zip up sweatshirt, "Just incase you get cold."

They were on their way to the party in a comfortable silence with soft music in the background when the silence was broken, "I heard that the whole football team is going to be there tonight." Jacie informed. "Oh great. Not only is there going to be frat boys but there is going to be thirty egotistical giants there too." Caprice sighed and leaned her head against the window. "It won't be that bad. Especially since the new transfer QB might be there who is rumored to be quite hot." Her friend wiggled her eyebrows.

They arrived at the party and as soon as they walked in Caprice immediately spotted the football team. She couldn't help but feel intimidated and not just because of the giant men but also the overall atmosphere. This wasn't her scene. She didn't enjoy this like her friend did who had already ditched her to find a drink.

She could not believe how they had been there for less than half an hour and she had already lost her friend. She wasn't upset though since she wanted her friend to enjoy herself but she was pulled out of her thoughts when she ran into someone. She felt a cold liquid run down her shirt and was quickly reminded why she didn't enjoy parties.

"I am so sorry," a deep voice rang out. "It's fine." Caprice replied as she looked up and was met with pale blue eyes. "Here you can use my hoodie." The guy began to take off his hoodie and hand it to her. She could tell that he felt really bad and was extremely embarrassed. "Its okay. Seriously I have a sweater with me." The boy looked at her confused and rightfully so because when she went to put on her sweater she realized she didn't have it. "Nevermind. I guess I left it at home." She sighed and he proceeded to hand her his hoodie which she then took gratefully. "Thank you so much." Caprice said as she put it on only to realize that it was huge. "Its the least I could do after I spilt my drink all over you. Im Joe by the way." He said as he stuck out his hand. "Im Caprice." She took his and really got a good look at him.

Joe was tall, at least six foot two, with dirty blonde hair that had large curls which fell on his forehead. He had the sweetest smile and brightest blue eyes that were captivating to anyone that looked into them. As for Joe...

He had been completely enamored by the girl in front of him. She stood at around 5'2 with the darkest brown eyes and long brown curls cascading down her back with half tied up into a butterfly clip. From what he could tell Caprice  was a shy girl all alone at a party who didn't appear to want to be there, much like himself.

Caprice and Joe ended up spending most of the night talking about the upcoming school year as well as learning about each others  majors and interests. Much to Caprices' surprise Joe ended up being the hot transfer QB her friend had been talking about. He was different than she would've expected. He was confident but not cocky and he didn't talk to her the way she assumed most other football players would. He was kind and passionate about the sport he played. She couldn't be more grateful for Joes company as it made her forget where she was and that she hadn't seen her friend since she arrived.

I still don't know how to feel about this. I feel like I'm skipping way to much between "scenes" ig idek what to call them. this chapter is a bit longer than the last with a total word count of 851 words not including the authors note. also I'm probably not going to write about them getting to know each other. this chapter and the last will be placed the moths before I want the story to take place so in the next few chapters it should be present day, these last two were kind of a prologue/intro I guess. also I forgot to put this in last chapters note but Caprice's nickname is Price which is pronounce peace with and "r" after the p so its essentially preace but that looks stupid. So her nickname is Price (preace)

Thank you!!
