Harry
2 weeks later
After kiwi was put on the radio for the first time, our life got crazy. We've been in and out of interviews for the past 2 weeks, went on radio shows and tv shows. Preformed live on the Ed Sullivan show, which was fucking crazy. Our fame started rising very quickly now that our song was number 12 in the whole world and number 2 in California, we were below the Beatles 'Hey Jude'. If someone were to tell me 3 weeks ago, we would be competing with the Beatles for first place, I would laugh in their face, now I might faint.
"Thank you all very much!" I yelled into the mic, making my way down the stage. Today was the third time we opened the show for Steppenwolf, which is so surreal I don't even think I'm alive right now. Tommy Holland reached out to Jessie asking if we wanted to open their first show of tour, and of course we said yes. He kept us until the second, then the third, then finally asked us if we wanted to tour with him. We sadly had to decline since we were busy doing all these interviews and shows. But it would've been a dream come true.
I made my way to the green room and was greeted by a little person running into my knees. "Daddy!" Opal yelled hugging me legs.
"Hey baby" I smiled, picking her up. I walked to the group of people that have become closer to me than my actual family. I went straight to Jane and gave her a side hug, kissing the side of her head. I've been so busy these past few weeks, I haven't had time for us, which pains me to admit. But she's been so supportive, telling me that it's fine and its actually better for her so she can sort her mind out. So, we've been going really slow, we've only hung out with our friends and haven't had the chance to be alone, I was thinking of taking her out for dinner, somewhere nice.
"That was fantastic Harry" she smiled up at me, her arms wrapped around my waist. One of my arms was draped around her shoulder, while the other was holding Opal.
"Thanks Jane" I looked deeply into her eyes, a smile on my lips.
"And what about me Jay?" Niall spoke, hugging her from the opposite side I was on and leaning his head on her head, squishing it against my chest.
She laughed loudly before letting go of me and turning to hug him to. "You were a star Mr. Horan" she exaggerated her words, holding his face between her hands and giving him a peck on the cheek. "Everyone was amazing, good job guys!" she said letting go of him and looking at my band.
"Harry, its Rebecca, she says it's important." A crew member said, standing by the door. I nodded and put Opal down and telling her I'd be back. I walked to the telephone box and picked it up.
"Becks, what's wrong?" I asked worried.
"Hey babe!" she spoke brightly. I could immediately tell what was wrong.
"She's there?" I asked, my annoyed tone was hard to conceal.
"Mhm" her voice was high pitched and nervous. "So, my mom's here, and she's wondering if you wanted to get some dinner. The four of us."
"Uh..." I thought about my plans of asking Jane out. I really hated to do this to her, but Beck is in deep shit right now. "Sure, I'll come pick you guys up in 10."
"Alright honey, love you bye!" she said lovingly.
"Love you too, see you later." I said, hanging up the phone. I groaned and leaned my head against the telephone box. The cold metal cooling down my burning face. I took in a dep breath and stood up straight. I walked to the bathroom to wash my face and fix my hair. Becca's mom was definitely a character. She wasn't evil or anything, she was just extremely religious, and if she found out about our little agreement, she would have a heart attack. So, I help Beck out by acting as if we're still together. I don't really mind, it's as if I was hanging out with my best friend so it's not that bad. Beck has sacrificed so much for me that I would be wicked if I didn't return this simple favor. I made my way back to the green room and found Opal sitting on the couch, coloring in her pink notebook with Jane.
