As Marjorie stared at herself in the bedroom mirror, thoughts ran through her head. She wondered why out of every girl Reece could have chose, he chose her. The things she had been told about her appearance in the past circled her head, the times her own mum had fat shamed her, the times parents at the nursery had made comments on how she looked. Tears brimmed her eyes as she ran her hands across her stomach. What would stop Reece from just leaving her like everybody else? She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't even notice Reece enter the room, wrapping his arms around her waist. She relaxed slightly at the sight of her boyfriend, he always made her feel so calm. Reece soon noticed the redness in her eyes and the tear marks on her face. "Hey gorgeous what's wrong?" He questioned, worried about his girlfriend. "Am I good enough for you?" Marjorie practically blurted out. Shocked, Reece took Marjorie's hand and led her over to the bed before asking "what makes you ask that beautiful?" Marjorie took a deep breath before replying, "Sometimes I see how parents look at you at the nursery and how they hit on you right in front of me and I guess it sometimes gets to me because it's not like there's anything stopping you from taking them up on their offers. I mean why wouldn't you? They are so much prettier than me, I don't deserve you Reece, you can do so much better." Taken aback, Reece pulled Marjorie into him and held her tight before saying "Marjorie, I am in love with you and only you, I couldn't care less about the parents that are hitting on me, none of them can ever compare to you. You are so perfect." Marjorie smiled slightly at his words, turning her head to face him before saying "I'm sorry you have had to put up with this, I know it's dramatic" Reece wiped her tears before replying "Marjorie, your feelings are never dramatic, it's how you feel and you should never have to feel like you need to bottle them up, whenever you need to talk, I'm here to listen." Marjorie sighed, "thank you my love, I guess it's a lot to do with the things my mum would tell me growing up." "What sort of things would she tell you?" Reece questioned, sounding concerned. "Well, she would constantly bring me down and say the most horrible things to me, she would always fat shame me and criticise me for how I looked. I always thought it was normal, it wasn't until I got older I realised that it really wasn't. Her words were really damaging and to this day, whenever someone comments on my body, my mind will swirl back to the things my mom would say." Marjorie replied, nervous as to what Reece would say. Reece looked into his girlfriends eyes, that were filled with tears. "Marjorie, did someone say something to you today? Is that what has made you so upset?" Reece asked, skeptical of whether Marjorie would answer or not. "I-i mean s-sort of it-it was a parent, but I'm probably just being dramatic." Marjorie stuttered. "Darling, if it has got you this worked up, it was most definitely not dramatic. Who was it and what did they say?" Reece says, attempting to reassure his girlfriend. "Um- well-" Marjorie starts.

FLASHBACK TO EARLIER

Marjorie walks down the corridor, walking past two parents, Geraldine and Vikki, as she walked past she decided to stop and say hello to them. "Hiya, you all right? Marjorie says, greeting the two" "Mhm yeah, we're fine! I just have a quick question for you though." Geraldine says, in a tone that marjorie couldn't quite make out. "Oh, alright then, ask away!" Marjorie replies, trying to figure out Geraldine's tone. "Well, have you gained weight? I'm only asking because it looks like you have" Geraldine snickers, Vikki also letting out a slight laugh. "Oh- well um n-not that I know of." Marjorie replies, blinking back tears. "Are you sure? I mean it certainly looks like it, you better be careful, that boyfriend of yours won't want you if you look like an elephant and we all know there are so many people he would probably rather be with." Geraldine practically laughs out loud, before turning and walking out of the nursery, Vikki following not that far behind her. Marjorie couldn't stop the tears from flowing, she quickly ran off into the bathrooms, locking the door behind her before slipping into a flashback sort-of-thing.

(END OF FLASHBACK)

"So um- yeah, that's what happened." Marjorie says, choking back a sob. "Reece just looks at her, before scooping her into his arms and gently rocking her back and forth. "He whispered into her ear, "Marjorie, the way you reacted is not dramatic at all, Geraldine was so wrong for what she said and I can assure you that none of it is true. You are so perfect, i will NEVER leave you. Trust me I will be dealing with Geraldine adequately. "By that you mean set Autumn on her" Marjorie chuckled. "There's that smile we all love! But yes, i do mean set Aut on her." Reece replied, letting out a small laugh, looking down at his girlfriend, who was falling asleep in his arms. "I love you" He whispered in Marjorie's ear, before they both fell asleep, still holding each other. They were in love, nothing could ever change that.
