Y/N

I woke up the next morning feeling groggy but relieved that we had made significant progress in the case. I stretched my arms and rubbed my eyes, ready to start the day. But when I turned to my right, I was met with a sight that jolted me fully awake.

Edogawa was sitting in a chair beside my bed, casually flipping through my journals from my bedside table.

"E-eh?! W-what are you doing here?!" I stammered, my heart racing.

He looked up from the journal and flashed me his usual cheerful smile.

"Oh hey, Y/N! Good thing you're finally awake!" he greeted me, as if this were a normal occurrence.

I sat up quickly, trying to process what was happening.

"What are you doing inside my apartment? I remember locking the door last night."

Edogawa chuckled and put the journal down. "Locked? Are you sure?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.

"I walked in because your door wasn't locked."

I frowned, puzzled. "I'm sure I locked it. How did you even get in without me noticing?"

He shrugged nonchalantly. "Maybe you were too tired to notice. You did have a long day yesterday."

I shook my head, still trying to wrap my mind around the situation. "But why are you here? And why are you reading my journals?"

Edogawa leaned back in the chair, looking quite at ease. "I came to talk with you about your father's case. And to check up on you, of course. After yesterday's intense moment, I wanted to make sure you were doing okay. And I found these journals quite fascinating."

I sighed, realizing that trying to understand Edogawa's thought process was often a futile endeavor.

"Well, you could have just knocked or called" I said, rubbing my temples.

He laughed, standing up and stretching. "Where's the fun in that? Besides, I needed to discuss the case details with you."

I looked at him. "What-......Don't tell me you already-" he cutted me off.

He nodded while smiling. "Yep. I already got the files from the police."

"This guy...."

I threw a pillow at him, which he easily dodged. "That's not fair, Edogawa. But seriously, why are you here?"

"It seems that you already made your 'always being late routine' as your career this time. So I visited you here and found you, in a deep sleep. I kinda wonder, what kind of routine of yours will you make as your career next time?" and he have guts to tease me early in the morning.
