At an old abandoned building, Luna found herself face-to-face with a menacing figure, his eyes blazing with a malevolent fury. "You both made me suffer a lot, and now it's your turn. I'm going to kill you first and then her" he snarled, his voice dripping with malice.
Luna tried to run, her feet pounding the dusty floor as she desperately sought escape from the abandoned house-like place. But the man was relentless, his footsteps closing in on her like a predator.
"Please let us live," Luna begged, her voice trembling with fear. "We won't come into your lives again. Please, I beg you." Tears streamed down her face like a waterfall as she ran, her heart racing with terror.
All she could think of was her mom's face, her loving smile, and her warm embrace. She longed to be back in her arms, safe and sound. But her escape was short-lived. She tripped over something, and as she stood up, she saw that it was a skeleton covered in dried blood. Her blood ran cold as she took in the horror before her - a room filled with 5-6 skeletons, their empty eyes staring back at her like a macabre welcome.
Suddenly, the door creaked shut behind her, trapping her inside. She was horrified, her screams echoing off the walls as she frantically banged on the door for help. But her cries were met with an eerie silence. And then, she heard the sound of glass breaking from behind her. She slowly turned to face her tormentor, her heart sinking like a stone.
The man stood before her, a knife glinting in his hand, his eyes gleaming with a sadistic pleasure. "Now, how are you gonna escape from me, sweetheart?" he taunted, his voice dripping with malice. Luna took steps back, her eyes fixed on the knife, her mind racing with terror. "No, no, no... Please let us live. I beg you," she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper. But just as all hope seemed lost, Luna opened her eyes to find it was just a dream. She lay in her bed, her heart still racing, her sheets drenched with sweat. It was just a nightmare, she told herself, trying to calm her racing heart. But the memory of that terror lingered, haunting her like a ghost.
Her mom comforted her, "Hey honey, are you okay? What happened? You were screaming and thrashing around like you were being chased by something."
Luna hugged her mom tightly, still shaken, trying to process the vivid nightmare that felt so real. She didn't want to scare her mom so she thought of not sharing it. She just stayed in her mom's embrace for about sometime.
After a quick breakfast, Luna grabbed her backpack and headed out the door, her mind still reeling from the terrifying dream she had the night before. She couldn't wait to share it with her best friend Risa, the only person she trusted with her deepest fears and secrets. As she walked through the college campus, Luna felt a sense of relief wash over her, grateful for the distraction from her chaotic home life.
As a scholarship student, Luna had worked tirelessly to get into the university, determined to create a better future for herself and her mom. She didn't have many friends, preferring to keep to herself, but Risa had been a constant source of support and encouragement. Luna valued their friendship above all else, knowing that Risa understood her struggles and didn't judge her.
Luna's thoughts drifted back to her mom, who worked multiple jobs just to make ends meet, only to have her father squander their hard-earned money on his gambling addiction. Luna felt a surge of anger and frustration, knowing that she wanted to give her mom a better life, one free from the constant stress and worry. That's why she took on a part-time job at a cafe, to contribute financially and help alleviate some of the burden.
Lost in thought, Luna didn't notice Risa sneaking up behind her until she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder and a pair of hands covering her eyes. "Guess who?" Risa chimed, her voice bright and cheerful. Luna laughed, feeling a sense of joy and normalcy wash over her, and turned to hug her friend tightly. "I needed that," Luna said, smiling, and the two friends exchanged warm greetings, chatting about their plans for the day.
Risa suggested a girl's day out on Saturday, and Luna agreed enthusiastically, looking forward to a fun-filled day of shopping, eating, and gossiping. As they walked to class, they stumbled upon a crowd gathered around the heartthrob trio, Aaron, Noah, and Liam, who were surrounded by admirers, all vying for their attention.
Luna rolled her eyes, annoyed by the commotion, but Risa was captivated by their chiseled features and charming smiles.
The bell rang, and Luna escaped the scene, dragging Risa to class, relieved to be free from the chaos.
Unbeknownst to Luna, Aaron watched her every move, chuckling to himself, intrigued by her quirky behavior and expressive face.
His friends teased him, "For whom did the cold iceberg chuckle? Who finally thawed your frozen heart?"
Aaron brushed them off, "No one. Let's go to class," trying to maintain his tough exterior, but his eyes betrayed his interest in Luna.
His friends laughed and followed him, sensing a change in their usually stoic friend.
Throughout the day, Aaron's gaze lingered on Luna, his expression unreadable, but his eyes sparkling with curiosity. Little did she know, their paths would cross again soon, and their lives would become intertwined in unexpected ways.To be continued....
