A month had passed since Aaron's confession, and I was surprised to find that no one dared to bully me again. Aaron's feelings for me had transformed him; he was now gentle and attentive, always by my side. His eyes sparkled with kindness, and his smile could light up a room. I couldn't help but fall for him, but I hadn't mustered the courage to confess my feelings. With my birthday just two days away, I decided to reveal my emotions to him then. I couldn't keep him waiting any longer.
As we chatted, Aaron's voice was like music to my ears. "Hey, cupcake..." he said, his tone warm and endearing.
"Hey, Aaron... how was your day?" I replied, trying to sound casual despite my racing heart. "It wasn't great until I saw you," he said, his eyes locking onto mine.
I blushed, feeling my cheeks heat up. "What are your plans for the weekend?" he asked, trying to change the subject. "None, but..." he trailed off, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"But?" I prompted, my heart skipping a beat. “Can we go to a cafe together?" I asked, looking down, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Sure, why not? When do you want to go?" Aaron replied, his voice filled with enthusiasm."Day after tomorrow at 4 pm?" I suggested, my heart racing with excitement.
"Sounds good. I'll pick you up," Aaron said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "No need, we can meet at La'Cafe," I replied, trying to sound nonchalant despite my growing excitement.
"Anything you say, cupcake," Aaron said, his voice dripping with affection.
On my birthday,
I woke up to the aroma of my mom cooking a variety of dishes in the kitchen. I hugged her from behind and rested my head on her shoulder, feeling grateful for her love and support.
"Happy birthday, love!" she exclaimed, turning around to face me. "Thanks, Mom," I replied, smiling from ear to ear.
After breakfast, my mom asked, "What are your plans today, love?"
"Nothing much, Mom. Just meeting a friend," I replied, trying to downplay the significance of the day. "A friend, huh? Boy or girl?" she asked, winking at me.
"Mom, stop it... it's a boy," I replied, laughing. "Is he your boyfriend?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Mom, I'm planning to confess to him today..." I revealed, my heart racing with excitement.
"Wow, my baby's grown up! Have fun, baby. Love you," she said, hugging me tight.
