No one's POV:

Shrimpo was sitting in his room, thinking about what he should do. Nothing came to mind, so he went to where all of the toons were.

He sat down on the sofa. Rodgers and Brightney were reading, Toodles was drawing Goob while he was posing, Poppy and Boxten were talking, Astro was sleeping as always, and Scraps was cooking dinner. The rest of the toons were in their rooms.

Shrimpo's POV:

I walked towards Astro to ask him a question.

"HEY ASTROOO"

"Hmm, oh um, hey," Astro said in a tired voice as he woke up.

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS SLEEP?"

He looked a bit confused and uncomfortable. What did I say wrong?

Before he could continue speaking, Scraps, who had just finished cooking fish, interrupted us. She walked towards us and got in between me and Astro.

"What do you think you're doing bothering our friends?"

"I JUST ASKED HIM A QUESTION"

"Well, you just woke him up. Can't you see he's tired?"

"BUT -"

"No, buts. You are ruining Astro's sleep with your stupid question that can wait till LATER," Scraps said angrily as she got closer.

What she said caught the attention of many toons.

"OH MY GOD, CAN YOU JUST LET ME BE? YOU'RE OVERREACTING FOR NO REASON!" I said, pushing her away.

"This is why everyone dislikes you. You're always so mean and rude to everyone. It would be better if you just left us alone without making any disturbance. Just leave!" She said, annoyed.

"I HATE YOU AND YOUR WEIRD PAPER CAT EARS!" I said angrily, walking away from the scene.

I went to my room and slammed the door shut. I went to the corner of my bed and buried my head into my pillow and screamed.

"I hate Scraps. She's so annoying. I hate being near her and her stupid friends. Why would I even talk to Astro? I just went outside and caused trouble like always....I hate them," I said, taking my head out of the pillow.

Suddenly, I heard someone open the door to my room. I looked up and saw Goob.

"What do you want?" I said angrily.

"I thought you might need a hug after that," he said sympathetically.

"..." I stayed quiet for a while. "Just this time," I mumbled hesitantly.

"Really?" Goob said, surprised that I would allow him to hug me.

"Yes, really. Lock the door before I change my mind," I said angrily. I was still upset about earlier.

He hugged me gently. He was so warm and fluffy. I buried my head into his chest.

"Fluffy," my voice was muffled.

"Are you crying?" He asked.

I stuck my head out and wiped my tears off.

"No," I said.

"Your eyes are puffy, Shrimpo," he responded.

"Don't worry about it."

"Please Shrimpo."

"I-... I just feel like maybe I am the problem. Like I sometimes try to calm down but.."

"It's okay, Shrimpo, at least you're trying."

We ended up on the floor hugging each other until sunrise. His touch is gentle and soft. He kept wrapping me in his tenderness and warmth.

He made me feel something different. He made me feel like if he stopped hugging me, his touch would linger or I'd miss his affection.

"I think I like you, Goob."

He was fast asleep. Maybe another day. ♡
