Finding sisters

Jason felt small hands shake him awake.

"Danny, what's wrong, chum?"

"We need to go that way," his son said while pointing in a random direction.

"Why," Jason asked while putting on his pants. He knew the boy would go alone if he didn't go with Danny.

"I feel Jazz. She's here!"

"You sure," he asked around a stone that had lodged itself in his throat. He had promised Danny to help him find his sisters, but now he was scared Jazz would take Danny away. After all, Jazz was blood. She was Danny's older sister. Jason was a random criminal that found Danny and basically kidnapped him.

"C'mon, daddy, they're close."

Jason followed Danny. Eventually, the kid got impatient and picked Jason up by the armpits while invisibly flying in a random direction. Jason felt a little weird, with his feet dangling in the air.

Eventually, they reached a mostly isolated parking lot. The only person in it was looking at a map on top of the hood of an old pickup truck. She had red hair, glowing teal eyes, and a child tied to her chest. She looked about eighteen or nineteen.

She suddenly looked up, and Danny let go of his invisibility. They landed in front of Jazz. She looked at Jason, sizing him up before turning to Danny.

"Little brother, you're okay," she said. Tears were gathering in her eyes. "And you're so small!"

Danny threw himself at his sister and hugged her middle.

"Jazzie, I've missed you and Ellie," he looked up, "did Ellie get de-aged, too?"

The baby, Ellie, turned around, and Jason saw Danny's blue eyes. Looking closer, he noticed the baby looked like Danny, right down to the shape of his nose.

Well, she was his clone, after all.

"Jazz, meet my daddy."

Jason felt nervous as Jazz's piercing gaze landed on him.

"Daddy," she asked in a monotone voice. Fuck, that couldn't be good.

"Hi, Jason Todd. I found Danny a few weeks ago and decided to take him in."

He held out his hand, and she stared at it briefly before taking it.

"You've died," she said as a matter of fact.

"Um, yeah, I did. But I got better?"

"Hmm, and you decided to take care of a random kid you found?"

"Stop that, Jazz. Papa is awesome. He reads me bedtime stories and makes me food that doesn't come alive. Last week he took me to Niagara Falls. He promised to help me find you."
