"Aaaaaaahhhh...." ,I yawned as I opened my eyes for the first time that day. Last night I had been thinking all about my plan. I was going to go to the stables and take one of their horses, I am going to run away with a horse. Sounds pretty stupid but I think it will be the best experience of my life believe it or not.
I grabbed my back pack and packed a few things: matches, blankets, water bottle, containers, cereal, dried fruit, nuts, 2 bags of carrots, 4 apples, 1 week of clothes, calamine lotion, bug spray and my groom set. My friend had gave me the groom set just in case I wanted to do horse back riding, but I never planned on considering my mom had not had the money. My mother had left for work so no one would notice I left. I started running on the bumpy road up to the stable. The good thing about living in the country side is that you can actually ride a horse on the road instead of the side walk in a city. As I got to the stable the last car came out of the stable, it was Canada Day so the stable was closed. As the girl closed the gate behind her I whispered to myself humorously, "hah, she thinks it's that hard to get in because a silly gate is closed" I climbed over the crocked fencing and cautiously looked out for any other people still at the stable. No cars appeared in the parking lot and I swiftly but softly ran to the paddock. There was a halter and lead rope hanging on the old ragged fence gate, as well as about 8 horses grazing I the far field. As I saw no one had appeared to be watching and no security cameras were equipped anywhere as it seemed. I quickly grabbed the halter and lead rope and ran to the horses, I then remembered the horses could be scared and would run so i started walking slowly with my carrots out in my hand. A horse noticed me, he seemed like the leader of the pack, he was stall and big in a fare body size way. He ran over to me leaving the rest of the pack watching the random girl feeding the leader carrots... AKA me. It was like we immediately connected. I put my hand out far and fed him the carrots. He ate them and put his head up to my chest, i laughed and a smile went across my face for the first time in years. I kissed his forehead and wrapped my arms around his face.He perked his head up and hit me in the head. I fell back down as he ran before me. "Oh no!" i shouted, as i saw headlights coming through the gates. i grabbed my back pack and quickly ran behind the tree. Nash was being greeted by what looked to be a stable hand. She went to get the halter and lead rope but noticed it was gone. She looked around, and went back in her car. She drove out of the gates and locked them behind her. "Phew", i sighed Nash watched the car leave and as he turned back around from the fence gate i walked back over to him. With the halter and lead rope still on my shoulder i put the halter over his head and attached the lead rope. I walked him out of the paddock . I felt so much regret but nothing has ever felt so right to me. As there seemed to be no one else in the stable. i led him over to the mounting block and looped the lead rope and attached it on the other side of the halter to make reins and a bridle. I attempted to jump on his back not thinking i could have gotten tack from the stable, although i wouldn't know how to actually put it on the horse.  I finally climbed up and immediately started kicking his side, and off we went.
