Chapter 3
As the weeks rolled on, Kisan's secret admiration for "Strawberry" began to circulate among his classmates. Whispers and giggles followed him wherever he went, a constant reminder of his unspoken feelings. His friends, Priyarghya, Annesha, and Adri, would often tease him, nudging him whenever Vanshika walked by.

“Look, it’s Strawberry!” they would chant, and Kisan would blush, trying to hide his face in his books. Despite the teasing, it felt good to have friends who understood his feelings, even if they did poke fun at him.

One day, as Kisan sat alone in the library, he noticed one of Vanshika’s closest friends, Meera, sitting at the table next to him. She had always been kind, and today, she looked a little lost in thought. Gathering his courage, Kisan struck up a conversation.

“Hey, Meera! What are you working on?” he asked, hoping to break the ice.

“Oh, just some assignments,” she replied, glancing at him with a friendly smile. “I heard you’re good at math. Do you think you could help me with a few problems?”

Kisan felt a rush of excitement. “Sure! I’d be happy to help,” he said, shifting closer to her table. As they worked together, Kisan found himself enjoying her company. They chatted about school, shared laughter, and for the first time in a while, he felt a sense of connection with someone outside his immediate friend group.

As their friendship blossomed, Kisan confided in Meera about his feelings for Vanshika. “I really like her, you know?” he admitted, his cheeks flushing. “I just wish I could tell her how I feel.”

Meera’s expression softened. “That’s sweet, Kisan. But… I should probably tell you that Strawberry likes someone else,” she said gently, her voice laced with sympathy.

Kisan’s heart sank. “Really? Who?” he asked, trying to mask his disappointment.

“I think it’s Samir,” Meera replied, her eyes downcast. “They’ve been spending a lot of time together lately.”

The news hit Kisan like a wave, crashing over his hopes and dreams. He felt a mix of sadness and resolve.
