Chapter 3 - Whispered Confessions

Kiara woke up the next morning with a renewed sense of determination. The mansion, bathed in the soft morning light, seemed less intimidating. She made herself a cup of coffee and sat down with her mother's letter, eager to uncover more of the mystery.

Kiara decided to take a walk in the overgrown garden, hoping the fresh air would clear her mind. As she strolled through the tangled pathways, she stumbled upon an old, neglected fountain. Something about it seemed out of place.

Kiara (thinking): "Why did Mom keep this place so hidden? There must be a reason."

Just as she was about to inspect the fountain closer, she heard the crunch of footsteps behind her. She turned around to find Arjun Singh, the rugged detective, standing there with a soft smile.

Arjun: "I thought I'd find you here."

Kiara (startled but smiling): "Arjun! What are you doing here?"

Arjun: "I received a tip about some suspicious activity around your property. I thought I'd come check it out.
{ Or maybe see you too :- He whispered. }

Kiara (blushing): "Suspicious activity, huh?
{ Or were you just worried about me?" :- She whispered. }

Arjun (with a playful grin): Someone has to make sure you don't get lost in this big, spooky mansion!"

Kiara (teasing) : Or you just couldn't stay away from me.

Arjun (smiles) - "Guilty as charged. But let's talk more inside, shall we?"

Kiara : "Yes, of course. Let's go inside and continue this conversation."
(She said with a smile and tears in her eyes.)

Arjun : What happened to minee sweet cupcake?? What makes her cry ??

Kiara makes a sad face and said I miss our conversations and you too.

Arjun : I miss you too minee cupcake.
They both hugged each other tightly.

After the hug, they walk inside the mansion and sit down, catching up on everything that's happened during the years they were apart. They laugh and share stories, feeling the warmth of their old connection rekindling. After some time, both of their stomachs growled . They looked at each other and laughed .

Kiara said , "Looks like we both need to eat. How about we make something together?"

Arjun nodded with a grin, "That sounds perfect. Let's raid the kitchen."

They headed to the kitchen and start making red sauce pasta, pancakes, and orange juice. As they cook, they chatted and laughed, sharing more stories and cute, romantic moments.

Kiara accidentally splashes some pasta sauce on Arjun's shirt.

Arjun, with a mischievous grin, dips his finger in the sauce and dots it on Kiara's cheek.

Kiara (laughing): "Hey! Now look what you've started!"

Arjun (smirking): "Just marking my territory."

While making pancakes, Kiara wiped her floury hands on Arjun's arm, leaving white handprints.

Arjun (teasing): "Oh, so we're making art now? Let me add my touch." He gently patted her head, leaving a floury handprint on her hair.

Arjun tries to flip a pancake and it landed awkwardly.

Kiara (laughing): "Nice try, chef. Maybe stick to detective work."
