The commission of a lifetime!

Business x Strangeness x Justness Part 2

No POV 

We begin this chapter, not in the Hollow with Y/n, Anby, and Billy, but with Wise and Belle back at their home and business, Random Play where they were listening to the news yet again 

News: "We're returning now to Fourteenth Street, where an explosion occurred in one of the upper floors of a residential building shortly after the appearance of a Companion Hollow. According to our sources, the explosion was set off by Public Security. In their operation against the violent Red Fang Gang, took extreme measures, including the use of air force weaponry. The leader of the Red Fang Gang is thought to have fallen into the Hollow and is yet to be brought to justice. The head of Public Security has refused to comment. The bomb squad is on the way. Please stay away from Fourteenth Street! We'll continue-" 

The sound of the door that separates the front of the store with the backroom was then slammed open as Nicole rushed in with a look of urgency on her face and out of breath

Nicole: "Hey, listen up! I was there when that explosion took place"

She then moved to the TV and turned it off so that it couldn't interrupt her

Nicole: "This is an emergency! Billy, Anby, and the target of my commission have fallen into that Hollow! I need a Proxy's help! Now!"

Instead of being worried about this situation, however, Wise sat on the couch with Eous while Belle stayed standing, both of them having smiles on their face 

Wise: "Hello Nicole... It'd be nice of you to knock next time"

Belle: "I feel like I hear of your urgent needs at least three times a month, Nicole..."

The three of them all then started walking to the front of the currently empty store while Nicole still looked worried

Nicole: "You can make fun of me all you want after you help me deal with this crisis. Please, Legendary Proxy Phaethon!"

Belle and Wise stopped at the front door when they heard her call them by their Proxy name and although they still had the laidback expressions on their faces, it was obvious that they now meant business

Belle & Wise: "What trouble did you get yourself into this time?"

Now that they were considering her request, the three made their way back to the back room, their workshop, to talk in case a customer were to enter the store this late in the evening. Before they started speaking, Wise made his way to the computers and began to look at the security cameras for a few moments before returning to the two

Wise: "I just checked. Doesn't look like there's anyone suspicious outside"

Nicole: "Don't worry, I wasn't followed! It took a lot to get out of Fourteenth Street unnoticed, but I made sure nobody was tailing me"

Wise: "I hope so"

Nicole: "I know things have been tight lately with the general election just around the corner. They're really cracking down on Proxies. They set up a hotline, and..."

Belle: "Ok, let's get to the point already. So, what's the hurry, Nicole? Which creditor is chasing you this time?" 

There was a playful tone to Belle's voice as she gave a small grin to Nicole while said woman took offense to the accusation 

Nicole: "That's not it! I was set up by Public Security and that angry reporter from Ridu TV!"

Nicole gave a brief retelling of what she and her team's story about what happened during the commission 

Nicole: "...So Billy and Anby fell into a Hollow. I have to get them out! And I need to get back what I've been commissioned to deliver! It's an emergency, and you're the only ones who can help!"
