Chapter 2: School tour and work

*Ron POV*

I was showing the new boys around the school. They seemed to be cool kids.

Ron: And this is the baseball field. We got a pro player teaching us to play ball, Javier Garcia. He's a cool guy. A pro baseball player. His nephew Gabe is a real pain in my ass though.

Gabriel: What exactly does Gabe do?

Louis: The dude always gets in Ron's face over his relationship with Clementine, due to how close they are. He's just begging Ron to kick his ass.

Duck: Seriously?

Marlon: Yeah. My money is on Ron though. Gabe is a scrawny little fucker who he hides behind his dad, just because his dad is ex-military.

Tenn: He thinks just because his dad served the country we need to kiss his ass.

*Timeskip to After School*

I was on my way home, listening to my favorite song.

I didn't have to be at work for another few hours, so I have time to do my homework and help mom with the house. My mom is a reporter named Carley, she's the best mom ever.

Ron: I'm home!

No answer. I guess Mom is out. I find a note on the fridge.

"I'll be home late tonight. Go ahead and order food. See you in the morning, my sweet little boy. -Mom"

I should have known Mom couldn't stop calling me that. Yes, I'm a momma's boy, sue me. I make a quick snack to help me focus on my homework, the classic chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk, and do my homework.

*Timeskip to Howe's*

I was just stocking a few shelves when Gabriel and Duck came up to me with their dad, Kenny.

Ron: Can I help you guys?

Kenny: You Ron?

Ron: Yes sir. What can I do for you?

Kenny: I'm looking for fishing equipment.

Ron: Follow me.

I lead the three to the sporting aisle where I stock fishing equipment.

Ron: What are you looking for?

Kenny: A fishing line.

Ron: Well, it depends on what kind of rod you use. If you use a Fish Master, I recommend this line.

Kenny: Perfect. Thanks, kid.

*Gabriel POV*

I kept quiet the whole time sure its the same guy who introduced me to the school and became my friend but it was just a little akward.

Kenny: Yeah Gabriel we found the perfect set, lets go duck.

Duck: Alright.

We go to the cashier and pay after that we went to the parking lot to go to our truck, we went inside and dad started driving

Kenny: Alright we finally have a good fishing set to fish guys
Gabriel: Now we can fish in st. Peters pond!

Duck: Alright!

We all arrive home and enter the house

Katjaa: Oh hey you boys are back!

Gabriel: Hi Mom how are you?

Katjaa: Im good thanks.

Kenny: We did a quick stop in howes to buy something.

Katjaa: What did you buy?

Duck: A fishing line!

Katjaa: well you boys settle in dinner is in the oven.

Kenny: Alright thanks.

I sit down on the couch while duck sits on the dining table, dad is with katjaa.

Kenny: So how was your new school today.

Duck: It was fun.

Gabriel: Yeah theres this guy named ron and he's leader of a friend group and he was thinking about letting me and duck in the group!

Kenny: Well thats good i used be in friend groups when i was your guy's age

Katjaa: Me to, oh where did the years go.

Kenny: Well Atleast we have this beautiful family am I right

Katjaa: Of course! Well everyone meatloaf is ready come to the dining table

Duck: Already there!
