Third person's pov
Bella looked pretty. She had everything a girl dreamt of. She had beautiful blonde hair, big brown doe eyes, a long nose and rosy lips.
Her curves were ethereal that can swoop off any man from his legs.
She was proposed and pursued by many guys from her high school but she knew they just loved her body not her. She wanted someone to love her as she is,.... As the human she is.
And she couldn't even try dating because of the restrictions from her father.
Finally she is relieved because she can live on her own… the way she wants. She spinned her apartment keys on her index finger.
Everything happens for a reason, Bella experienced this. If Chris hadn't kidnapped her, maybe she would be still living under restrictions.
“You look happy.” The brunette exclaimed.
“I am.” Bella said, munching on the sandwich.
“Where do you live?”
“Just two blocks away.”
Nick seemed a good guy to Bella, he looked a little bit nerdy but Bella wasn't a girl to judge on looks. He looked friendly and looking at his innocence, the guy had a lot of chances to be bullied and Bella didn't want something like that to happen to anyone.
Their classes got over early as it was the first day. Both of them were hungry and Nick's stomach grumbled hungrily so they were sitting in the nearby cafe having their lunch.
After some minutes, Bella paid as she didn't like others paying for her. Then they bid goodbye and Bella left for her apartment.
She got inside the lift. After some seconds the lift tinged, informing that her floor was here. She took the keys from her pockets and opened the door. She locked it and then removed her shoes.
She was about to sit when there was a knock. Bella furrowed her eyebrows, thinking who it would be. Her parents won't come here and she didn't inform anyone except Aria.
She opened the door a little bit, peeking who was there outside. Her eyes widened comically when they met the pair of hazel orbs. “His hazel orbs!”
She opened the door for a better glance and he got inside without saying anything and sat on the sofa. Bella closed the door from behind and looked at the ravenette with a disbelief expression.
The ravennete eyed the entire room, capturing every detail. The apartment looked simple as Bella didn't have time to decorate it nor the money. His gaze finally settled meeting Bella's brown eyes.
Bella's heart hammered against her rib cages as it's been half a month. Chris's wounds seemed to be recovered. But there were patches under his eyes as if he had not slept properly for some days.
Chris smirked, his eyes showed some emotions and it did not seem good.
“Anger?”
Why is he angry? Did she do something wrong?
But he looked handsome as usual. Bella unintentionally eyed him all over. He wore a black shirt, the first few buttons unbuttoned exposing his tanned chest, and the sleeves were folded till elbows giving a hot view of his tattooed arms. He wore loose beige pants and polished shoes.
Chris cleared his throat.
“Checking out, are we?” He said, lifting his eyebrows.
Bella shook her head.
“Why are you here, Chris?”
“I want to talk about something.”
“Yeah.”
“What were you doing with that guy in that cafe? You seemed quite happy with him.” Chris said the last words in a mocking tone.
“How'd you know? Wait….-” Bella's eyes widened and she let out a gasp. “Were you stalking me?”
“Don't question my questions. It was for your safety. You stayed at my mansion for almost two months, you can be in danger.”
“And you already got yourself in one!” he thought.
“Still you shouldn't stalk me!”
“Answer me, what were you doing with that guy? Who was he? What he is to you?” Chris took some steps closer getting up from the couch, Bella took some steps backwards. She gulped when her clothed back touched the cold wall.
Chris's gaze was so demanding that Bella felt like submitting, she lowered her gaze not being able to hold the intense eye contact.
But her chin was lifted up by Chris's long bony fingers, and he lifted his eyebrow, gesturing her to answer.
“He… he is just.. a friend.”
“Stop stuttering!”
“He is just a friend. We just met today as he is my classmate too. We were hungry after the class so we just went to the cafe to grab a sandwich, that's it.”
Bella didn't even know why she was explaining everything.
“Stay away from him.” Chris muttered, backing away. Bella released a breath which she didn't know she was holding. She looked at him in disbelief.
“Why?”
“Just stay away from him.”
“Are you acting possessive now?”
“I am and I felt jealous too when I saw you giggling and chuckling with him, attention seeker bitch!” He grumbled.
Bella scoffed.
“Do I seem like an attention seeker to you? I was just being friendly.” Chris rolled his eyes.
“So friendly you are. But the reason I am telling you to stay away from him is not my jealousy though. I have my reasons.”
“Fuck you and you reasons. How the hell did you know I am here?”
“I have my ways, darling.” Chris winked and sat on the couch.
“But I am telling you for your own good. Nicholas is not as he looks. He is dangerous, I am still looking after him but till then, you should be careful.”
“He looked innocent.”
“You will stay away from him, that's it.”
“Are you nuts, Chris? Why should I listen to you?”
“Bella… I don't want you to be in trouble again. That's why I let you go. You know very well no one can get out of the mafia alive but you did because I allowed you to. But you'll always be under danger no matter how much you try to live a normal life. For god's sake at least listen to me.” Chris's expression was serious. And Bella nodded.
“What do you think about this apartment?”
“Okay.”
“At least give a compliment or tell me what's lacking. Okay is just not a proper answer.”
“I think it's fine. How do you want me to explain more?”
“Okay tell me, would you like to visit here often?”
“You living here is enough for me to want to visit here often, something else just doesn't matter. If you are here, it will be heaven for me and if you are not there even heaven will seem hell to me.”
