Third person's pov
Having something is better than nothing.
It doesn't sound right in the case of love. Falling in love but not being able to live your love story is like a curse. One thinks it was better to have love not-at-all rather than having an incomplete love story.
A person who got a blanket can't strive in cold thunderstorms without it even if he was enduring the cold before getting a blanket. Now that he was habitual of the warmth that blanket provided he couldn't just go back to cold without depending on it.
All this philosophy explains Chris's feeling when he saw Bella being taken away from him. He was okay with Bella's hatred towards him, he was okay without Bella in his life too. Though he was just breathing not living his life but now after he experienced Bella's care and warmth during his hospital stay, he couldn't help but keep falling deeper and deeper every passing day.
He would've died if he had not saved Bella from getting shot that day. But now after he had a hope of them being together… now that he knew Bella would maybe love him, unknown by the fact that she already loves him…. He was sure he would burn the world if anything happened to Bella.
Now he will not just die or be depressed but he will be a monster that the world would be not ready to witness. He will burn every corner of the world where Bella is not there. He was ready to fight with the god himself so the mere human creatures were not such a competition for him.
All that Chris saw was red, an urge to kill whoever came in his way took over him. He didn't feel like crying because he knew he would not let anyone harm what's his… and would punish every soul who was involved in taking Bella away from him.
“The fuck Chris! Can't you wait for at least a day. Our men will bring Bella. We know Jack's whereabouts.” Liam uttered.
“No bro… I can't wait for a single minute. You can go back home, I'll take care of it.”
Chris whispered. They were out of the building where Jack was keeping Bella, sneaking behind a bush. During his torturing sections, Liam planted a tracker chip inside Jack's flesh, he knew there was a probability as Jack had someone's back so he would flee away.
“I thought we will be able to know who the fucking is helping Jack, when he escaped. I thought he would directly run to that bastard after escaping, but he kidnapped Bella instead.” Liam whispered.
“That bitch was blinded by revenge, Liam.”
There were two vans outside the building and some men appeared, they were discussing something. Both the males tiptoed to hear the conversation.
“Four of you go on Van 567, and you-” the masked man pointed to a buff man, “you will drive. Take route two, maybe the girl will scream for help so we shouldn't risk taking route one.”
“Can't we just inject her with anaesthesia, so she would not scream?”
“No, she will not wake up anytime soon, she needs to be conscious for the auction.”
The man discussed more details, Chris and Liam exchanged glances, they both smirked nodding with understanding.
Chris took a stone and threw it a few metres away from them.
The men paused from their discussion, gesturing to the buff man to check where the sound came from.
The buff man nodded and ran towards the bushes trying to find the source of the sound. Chris gestured Liam and Liam tip-toed towards the buff man, the buff man was about to turn when he heard footsteps but Liam pressed the needle on the man's neck and he fainted in seconds.
