"Tangled wires of Love" (Moondrop x Reader)

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐 ~ 𝐀 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐞

As you woke up the next morning in your bedroom you noticed something strange, Your breakfast was there as usual but Moondrop wasn't which was strange to you because he was always there to make sure you ate your breakfast in the morning.

I got out of bed and called out, "Moondrop are you there?", but no answer only silence.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘱, 𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘶𝘱, I thought to myself.

I looked around my room, but no matter where I looked I couldn't find him, so I decided to just eat my breakfast, though it was warm, it felt cold without Moondrop's presences.

After I ate my breakfast, I decided to head to the daycare.
"𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦?", I thought to myself as I was walking to the daycare.

When I arrived at the daycare, I noticed a sign on the door which said "Closed due to an incident, Thank you and we apologize for this inconvenience."

"𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥." I thought to myself.

I tried to look inside the daycare from the windows, but the windows were blocked off, leaving no room to see a single thing.

I decided to walk around the outside of the daycare, maybe I would find Moondrop just sitting around somewhere.

As I continued to walk I noticed a tall slim figure sitting behind one of the fake palm trees, I'm not entirely sure why the daycare even has those they aren't space themed.

I looked behind the, palm tree and to my surprise and relief it was Moondrop but he looked different, it was strange, he looked as if almost something bad had happened.

As I sat behind the palm tree, I couldn't stop staring at my hands, "𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳." I thought to myself when I noticed someone tapping me gently on the shoulder.

It was Reader, they looked relieved but there was also a hint of concern etched on their face.

"Moondrop?" They said softly.
"Are you okay, where were you, you weren't there when I woke up this morning?" They questioned me.

"I'm fine, no need to worry, I just had to go to the daycare, the kids came earlier than expected.". I told them, with a fake smile, which I hoped they didn't notice it was fake.

Then they asked the one question I prayed that they wouldn't ask.

"Moondrop where are the kids?, And why is the Daycare closed?, It doesn't close until 8pm and it's only 12 pm."

I panicked I didn't know what to say, I couldn't tell them about 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵.
So I just came up with something on the spot.

"The kids are um.. Out on a tour, yeah a tour around the pizzaplex." I said in a sort of high pitched tone, which I would never normally talk in.

I immediately could tell something was wrong with Moondrop, he sounded different and weird.

When I asked him about the kids he looked as if he was scared or hiding something.

"Moondrop." I said in a serious tone, "There's no kids in the pizzaplex, only staff and animatronics, and well me." As I said this I was looking him dead in the eye.

Moondrop fell silent, which I took as a bad sign, something was definitely wrong, but what was it and why would he tell me?

"The kids are dead, and the reason the daycare is closed because the staff and the bots are cleaning up the blood and remains of them." He said in a serious and a bit of an annoyed tone.
