Flashback :

It had been long that Rohit had not met his sweet little, lovebug, his Vami. ' Why can't we just go there anytime I want?' Rohit whined to ritika as she rolled her eyes at him replying.

' Courtesy to you and your bestie's fake rift drama, Mr Sharma.'

Rohit in response just huffed at it and sat mumbling things to Virat, who apparently happened to give idea to him to start this fake rift.

Minutes later Rohit beamed with happiness and Sammy who happened to be sitting beside her mother, Ritika, jolted in fright seeing her father's antics. And talking about Ritika, well she was bit too aware of this and just rolled her eyes at him.

'Hey Vami boo !! How are you buddy?' Rohit's voice elated to see his little champ after almost a month.

' I'm fine chachu, how are you...dada told me that you had little fever last night.' The little one said, enacting 'little' with her already tiny hands.

' I'm fine now baby, and tell me how your studies are going..hmm? ' Rohit asked.

' It all good chachu. ' Vami replied and apparently felt silent after that.

After a little while, almost 2-3 minutes later, Rohit noticed her eyes shining through the screen and his eyes held the feeling of helplessness, would be an understatement to say.

' Vami... baby, why are you crying bachha..?? Did dada scold you or did mumma said anything to you? ' Rohit's voice almost came out as a plead.

' No--no chachu no-one said anything ti me, I don't know.' Vami replied, trying her best to not cry.

' You can tell me bachha, see I'm here just in front of you. ' Rohit said, trying to comfort the little one.

' No chachu, it's nothing I was just you know something went in my eye and that's why my eyes had gone red. ' She again replied the same, making an excuse that Rohit wouldn't buy anytime.

Even though Rohit wasn't satisfied with the excuse she gave, he asked her again, ' Pakka na ? ' to which she just nodded her head, this time trying to smile.

As the call proceeded, Rohit could sense the way she spoke, it wasn't the way she talked. Something's up with her and that was now crystal clear to him.

As soon as Vami disconnected the call, Rohit reached out to Ritika who was in the kitchen, taking out the cookies Sammy had kept in microwave.

' Umm-- Ritsy, you know I wanted to ask you... No--no tell you, umm request you--' Rohit's voice stammering to which Ritika  gestured him to continue and she wouldn't eat him up if he did say what was on his mind.

' You know I just talked to Vami, you did too, didn't you notice some change in her behaviour. Like the way she talked to us?' Rohit finally asked.

' And why do you think so, Ro, I didn't find anything off with her behaviour, she was talking just as the way she talks.' Ritika replied, steadily.

' No..you didn't get it, it's like she is not fine I guess.. something's really up with her..you didn't notice but I did she was almost crying Ritsy, my Vami was almost on the verge of crying and I wasn't there for her. ' Rohit said, his voice unsteady and disturbed.

' But she did tell you that something went in her eyes right? Weren't you satisfied  with it?' Ritika asked and Rohit just shrugged the question, replying -

' I can literally read that Senior Kohli's mind so what about Vami then, she's just a kid in front of me..and I know really well that these Kohli's can never lie effortlessly and if they can, they can never in front of me. ' Rohit said, his voice quite confident with what he said and Ritika in turn just shook her head in disbelief.
