2. It can't be

'Let's just get the mission over with already' I thought to myself.

My thoughts were interrupted by a
sudden phone call, it was Iho
"Akutagawa it's me, I have them cornered as planned" he said.

"Excellent I will be there in five minutes" I replied back.

Time to go'

I quickly make my way to the spot, where we planned for the ambush.

As I reach there, I see a guy with orange hair strangling Higuchi.
I used my ability to make him fall to the ground.
I cough two times then say "the stench of death"

I see the female man-tiger start screaming.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Akutagawa, like this man here, I am one of the mafia's black dogs" I introduced myself to the twin tigers.

"Akutagawa, I can handle it by myself" I hear Higuchi say in desperation

It reminds me of how much desperate I used to be to please that man.

I hate it.

I look at him in a way and he understood then he apologized "I-I am sorry"

"To take the tigers alive, are you talking about us?" I hear the tiger boy say.

"Why ofcourse,the objective of this mission is the both of you" I told him. I see the tiger girl scared and shaking behind the boy.

"I know that I am valuable, but is this a way?" The tiger girl questioned me, now what the hell is that supposed to mean?

I scare the both of them by using my ability and missing on purpose.

I see the girl start crying, oh how pathetic. The boy on the other hand fought back, he started shooting at me, I invaded his attacks quite easily with my ability.

I attacked him by using Rashomon.

I see him transform into a full fledged tiger. He started attacking me, I lost my balance and couldn't invade his attack. I was pushed back and hit a wall.

Higuchi became angry by seeing that "why you" he said as he started shooting at the tiger.

It didn't effect at all. I see him trying to attack Higuchi, so I quickly use Rashomon.

Turns out that it was all just an illusion, it was that orange haired guy's ability.

Damn.

I try to attack him with my ability, but to no avail.

It got .... nullified?

"All right, that's enough" I hear someone say, the voice seems oddly familiar.

It- it's Dazai-sa...Dazai.

"Oh Dazai, I was so scared. Where were you?" I see the tiger girl ask him.

She was crying and Dazai extended his arms for a hug "I know that. I am sorry, you were scared weren't you?"
He's now caressing the girl.

In a gentle way to comfort the crying girl.
"It must have been scary for you Mi-chan" he said in a gentle tone.

It felt like feather.

How could that person of all people be so gentle, not just that but comfort in such a way? How could -

My thoughts were interrupted once again.

"You really think me will let you go?"
I hear Higuchi say as he points a gun on them.

"Let's go Iho, we will take the tiger some other time" I said "we will retreat this time"

Higuchi understood my discomfort so he said no more, he just nodded.

Now Dazai looked at my direction, still holding the crying girl in his arms and ruffling the past out tiger boy's hair.

"We will pay a visit to your agency, in a later date, so you can be sure that port mafia will collect that owe them"
I said nonchalantly.

"Oh really? Is that a formal declaration of war? Go ahead and try it, if you really have the guts" he said in a mocking tone like he used to.

It boiled my blood.

Higuchi countered and started about the stuff we can do.

"Yes I am quite aware of that" Dazai shrugged "indeed you are, considering the history you have. After all you were a member of port mafia"

Now he glared at me.

"Osamu" now that caught me off guard as I see the girl still in his arms, calling him, not on that but by his first name.

" 'Huk' 'huk' stop talking to her, and brother is he going to be alright?" The girl asked clearly wanting a look of pity and attention.

I had no intention of watching there
'hoo-hoo'.

I made my way back to my office, still thinking about the things that happened today.

Now I am having a headache.

Just in time Higuchi bought a lemon tee for me with some snacks "that's just what I needed. Thanks Iho-kun"

He just smiled at me "ofcourse Ai-chan"

I started drinking the tea with him, being with his is just so calming and comfortable.

But I am sure this peace wouldn't last long.
