As Meherbano arrived at the bustling clinic, the morning light filtered through the tall windows, illuminating the pristine and orderly environment. "It was chaotic as usual," Meherbano replied with a chuckle. "The usual family chaos. I barely made it out of the house on time."
Afia laughed, her eyes sparkling with understanding. "Sounds like a typical morning. I had a feeling you'd show up right on time, though. You always do."
The two friends exchanged a brief hug before heading toward the staff room. Meherbano was grateful for Afia's presence; their camaraderie always made the demanding workday a bit easier.
"So, what's on the agenda today?" Meherbano asked as they walked through the corridor, passing by busy nurses and patients in various stages of their appointments.
Afia pulled out a clipboard and glanced at the schedule. "We've got a full day. Dr. Khan wants us to assist with a series of consultations and follow-ups. There's a new patient coming in this morning with some complex symptoms, so we might need to be extra sharp today."
Meherbano nodded, her expression turning serious as she reviewed the day's schedule. "Got it. I'll make sure to be on top of things. And I'm always ready for a challenge."
As they entered the staff room, they were greeted by the familiar faces of their colleagues. Dr. Khan, a seasoned physician known for his meticulous care and high standards, was reviewing patient files at his desk.
"Good morning, Dr. Khan," Meherbano said as she and Afia approached him. "We're ready to get started."
Dr. Khan looked up, his demeanor professional yet warm. "Good morning, Miss. Meherbano, Afia. We have a busy day ahead, so let's make sure we stay organized. The new patient will be arriving shortly, and we need to prepare for a thorough examination."
