Over the next few weeks, Zafar had been meticulously keeping tabs on Meherbano's every move. His reports were detailed, methodical, and delivered with the precision that had earned him the trust of the Lashari family over the years. Every evening, he would brief Mir Lashari and Rohan in Mir's expansive office, where the weight of the situation hung heavily in the air.

"She's been meeting with Adeel Sahib, the editor-in-chief, almost daily," Zafar reported one evening, standing with his usual composed demeanor. "They've been working late hours at the newspaper's office. From what I've gathered, she's preparing to release the story. And not just in print—there's talk of a feature on one of the local news channels."

Rohan, seated on the edge of his father's desk, clenched his fists. His jaw tightened as he processed the information. "She's really persistent, isn't she?" he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

Mir leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers. His face remained impassive, but the slight crease in his brow betrayed his concern. "What about the video? Any confirmation on what exactly she has?"

Zafar nodded. "I've managed to gather some details. She claims it's security footage from a shop across the road from the accident site. The video isn't crystal clear—it's grainy, and the rain that day obscures some of the details. But it allegedly shows a car matching the description of Rohan Sahib's pulling over after the collision. The footage also captures a group of men at the scene before they left."

Rohan let out a sharp exhale, pushing himself off the desk to pace the room. "Grainy or not, it's enough to fan the flames. Enough for people to start pointing fingers."

Mir raised a hand, signaling Rohan to calm down. "Zafar, what's her next move?"

Zafar cleared his throat, his tone measured. "She plans to finalize the article this week. Adeel Sahib has been cautious—he's well aware of the potential backlash from such a story. But the girl is adamant. She's also approached a local news channel, trying to get airtime for the story. I've confirmed that she's scheduled a meeting with one of the producers tomorrow."

Mir's expression darkened. He tapped his fingers on the desk, his mind clearly working through the implications. "She's not just determined; she's reckless. She doesn't understand the forces she's up against."

Rohan stopped pacing and turned to face his father. "We can't let this go public, Daddy. Once it's out there, it'll be impossible to contain."

"I'm well aware of that," Mir replied sharply. His tone softened as he added, "But we can't act without a plan. This needs to be handled delicately. We can't afford any mistakes."

"Delicately?" Rohan scoffed. "She's already putting the noose around our necks, and you want to handle this delicately?"

"Yes, delicately," Mir said firmly, his authoritative tone silencing Rohan's protests. "A brash move will only draw more attention. We need to know exactly when and where she plans to release this video. If we can intercept it before it goes public, we can control the damage."

Zafar hesitated for a moment before speaking. " It seems that next week on tuesday she is going to the news channel with the chief editor for the release of the video Mir sahab, we must stop her "

Rohan, still visibly tense, leaned against the desk, his arms crossed. "Do it," he said, his voice cold. "Whatever it takes to shut her down."

Mir looked at his son, a flicker of concern in his eyes. "Rohan No impulsive decisions."

Rohan met his father's gaze, the tension between them palpable. Finally, he nodded, though his frustration was evident. " if this doesn't work then I will do it my way "-
