YOU WERE WALKING next to misha who had on a dark brown corduroy jacket, his hair was getting a bit longer due to the days you've been walking together and trying to find Joel's brother— this was what this whole thing was about anyway.

You still can't believe his blood actually worked on you, him and ellie were a cure— but what would happen when you'd never see him again? You didn't want that.

But you've been growing dizzy lately, were the effects still wearing off after you had gotten bit? Misha noticed you were stumbling a bit and he held you steady.

"Hey." Misha said, "you okay?" he asks with concern as he noticed the drained look on your face.

"I'm okay." You replied, wrapping your arm around his as the two of you followed behind Joel and Ellie.

It was still snowing and the river looked pretty, Joel would occasionally check behind him from time to time to make sure you and misha were safe.

You were now crossing the bridge as Joel held his gun close, you shiver a bit from the cold but you made sure to keep a hold on misha— he was always warm for whatever reason.

You finally come across the river, "huh..hey-- Joel? What if this is the river of death?" You asked, watching as Joel pulled out his map and took a look around.

Misha looked at the snow on the ground and his eyes followed tracks— tracks of what seemed like horse tracks? he felt something was off as he tensed up a bit.

That's when you see people appear riding on horses, Joel immediately pushes you, ellie, and misha behind him. "Get behind me." He says.

You raise your hands in surrender.

"We ain't lookin' for any trouble. We're just passin' through." Joel says.

"Drop the gun." A man orders.

"You three." The man says, turning to you, ellie, and misha. "take five steps back."

"How 'bout we just talk this through?" Joel suggest and the man turns to him again.

"How 'bout you shut the fuck up?" The man replies.

"Okay, easy." Joel mumbled before turning around to look at you and the others, "you'll be okay."

You step back, misha doing the same as well as Ellie.

Your body tensed when you see a dog appear which was barking, if that dog sensed you were bitten..you'd be done for completely.

"Now them." The man gestured to the dog, you look at misha who kept a stoic gaze, Ellie eyes widened a bit.

The dog growls as it walks towards the three of you, it sniffs before barking and licking your face which took you by surprise, Ellie giggled and caressed the dogs fur.

You did the same as misha smiled himself, also caressing the dogs fur.

"You just brought yourself ten more seconds." The man says, lowering his gun. "What are you doin' out here?"
