After my check up, saying thank you to my doctor I walked out of her cabin.My one hand was caressing my baby bump, while the other one was holding my prescription letter, which I was reading. I failed to realize that I was still standing at the front of the cabin. I was so into the prescription. But that was then I heard my name being called.
???:- Hey, Roopa??
I literally flinched when I heard my name since I was engrossed in reading. Then I looked up and I found Riya.
Roopa:- Riya?( I murmed myself, confused.)
Riya is close to Dhyan's family. They are family friends. Dhyan's mother always loved her since she is her best friend's daughter. She always wanted Riya to marry Dhyan. I disliked Riya so much. She also took part in adding fuel to our relationship when it turned into a mess. She never directly disrespected me or insulted me, but always enjoyed silently when mom used to praise her while belittling me. She never for once supported me against that wicked mother in law.
Now, when I saw her right in front of me. I just gulped down my saliva as my pregnancy is still unknown for many. I have zero trust in Riya with my big secret. But what is she doing in this gynecology ward? Is she here to visit the gync? But she was single when I got divorced.
"…...hey? Where are you lost? " Riya asks tapping of my forehand.
"Mmm.. n-nothing." I tried to fake a smile which I failed miserably. I just the earth to swallow me from this scene just like how Sita maa got into the lap of earth. I was so afraid since I can't even hide my baby bump. It seems like she has noticed it. And I don't want that to happen. But my prayers go in vain when she starts to speak looking at my bump
"Oh… wow Roopa you're pregnant. Congrats...I never imagined that you would move on this fast. I am really happy for you." She says grinning at me.
I was sweating nervously when I heard another voice
"...Riya, why are you still stan……" That deep voice , which made my heart flipped once is now making me anxious. Oh my god. What am I supposed to do now? Where should I go now? What will happen to me now? He halted his words when he meet me with an UNEXPECTED bump.
"Roopa…" He says .
