Time to chrome up

Mark was in his car until he got a call from David. His eyes glow orange.

Mark: Hey kiddo what's up?

David: Hey, the washing machine needs a Re-up.

Mark: Alright, I gotcha I'm outside the apartment now. How's your mother?

David: She's fine. Just overslept again.

Mark: (Sigh) Damn night shifts. 

He parked the car in a parking lot and got out.

Mark: Oh yeah, do you need money from a wreath update for class?

David: No, no. It's fine. I got Doc to handle it.

Mark gave a suspicious look.

Mark: What do you mean ya "handle it"?

David: (Clears throat) I'm good. All set.

Mark: Alright, but remember what your mother said.

David: Don't go cutting corner.

Mark smiled after he heard David sigh.

Mark: She made you promise to you would buy the update, didn't she?

David: Yeah. Oh, by the way mom was on TV.

Mark: (Sigh) Yeah, I heard....it wasn't good. Do you need a ride to school? I'm halfway there.

David: Nah, I'm fine. Just spend your time with mom. I know you two are tired.

Mark: (Smile) Alright, love you kid.

David: Yeah, love you too old man.

The phone hangs up. 

Mark:(Sigh) I feel like that Wreath is gonna fuck up.

He then walked up to the apartment building up the stairs and into the house. When he did he saw his wife on the couch looking at her jacket.

Mark: Hey, Gloria.

Gloria looked at Mark and smiled.

Gloria: Hey, Mi Amor. How was work.

Mark sat next to her and kisses her lips.

Mark: (Sigh) Same as always. You talk to Maine?

Gloria nods her head then leans on Mark's shoulder.

Gloria: Thanks for last night, baby.

Mark leans his head on hers.

Mark: I rather do the jobs for you instead of you doing them. And I'm sorry for making your job harder when you have to get the bodies.

Gloria shakes her head and smiles.

Gloria: It's fine. Just promise me you won't cross that line to where they send Adam Smasher.
