A lot of people complain about their jobs. It's too hard, it's too exhausting, it's no fun. No fun? I'll tell you what's no fun. I see dead people. I have to talk to these dead people, do favors for them, and send them off on their merry way to the Afterlife. I guess I can relate to them somehow though. I mean, I'm dead too.

She advanced towards me, one arm extended. Her fingers fell upon my forehead. Her touch sent icicles resonating through my skin and down into my bones. I felt my body going numb. “Sleep, now, girl. You’re mine,” She said. Her voice was like wind through a metal pipe, soothing and haunting. My eyes went heavy, and my knees weakened. Blackness circled my vision, and I collapsed, unconscious. People have told her strange tales of what went on in her house before Emily lived there, but she never believed them.
