Circle walked in the middle of the night, with a flashlight. In the letter, he was told to walk in a specific alley in the city, right by the new restaurant that just opened a week ago? Strange, maybe this is how they advertise? Would he seriously be trusting a strange letter that he found when he just got back after taking his square friend home? Whatever. He has a handgun in his pocket just in case he gets attacked. He's good with a gun. His father taught him how to use it.

He walks towards the closed food place, a place for the innocent. He should take Square there someday, he thought to himself, knowing how childish he is. He would have a blast here..

He put away his flashlight, turning it off, like the letter said.

Circle turned to the alleyway connecting the restaurant and a trade building. He gulped, walking between where the sidewalk light ends, and the shadow begins. He stares at the darkness, before speaking up.

"Hello? Are you there? In the shadows?"

Slience.

Loud, long silence.

He sighs, seems like this was a waste of time. As he was about to walk away, another letter slipped up from the shadows. He took a moment to think, before taking the sheet of paper.

"HELLO CIRCLE"

"Seems like you came. You're brave, you know? If I gave the same message to Square, he would've CHICKENED out."

Circle got a little annoyed at the part about Square, but shrugged and kept reading.

"I am sorry you needed to wait for me to write the message to you. I prefer not to talk, or show myself. I have a deal for you. If you help make this happen, I will pay you back TONS of valuable sources. If you help me set this place up, and be the host for the place, and get as MUCH people in the place. I will not only offer valuable items, but I will offer you the chance... to be famous. You're great at brainstorming ideas, so why wouldn't I get you to be the host! Do you agree..?"

At the bottom of the paper, there was a message, saying "CHOOSE WISELY." There was also a Yes or No question, with squares drawn underneath, to checkmark. After putting down the paper, he stared at the shadows, thinking.

"I think I made my... choice."

Suddenly, a pencil rolled outside of the shadows. Circle picked it up, then looking at the paper again. Should he really trust this figure in the shadows, that seems incredibly shady? But then, he started thinking about how much this could be worth. Him and Square. Even Triangle, who he does admit, he's a jerk, but he's his friend either way. The trio could be rich! Famous! But... is the one in the shadows being truthful? Can he trust them? He then asked out to the shadows, questioning if it's really true.

"Hey, figure in the shadows? Are you being serious about this? Are you really giving me valuable things?"

He rolled the pencil back in the shadows, and gives the piece of paper back, so they could have something to write with. He did respect their anonymous personality, even if it being strange. After patiently waiting, the letter slipped out again, with the pencil rolling after it. He picked up the paper, reading the message.

"Circle, you're smart, really. But I am not lying to you. I do have valuable items. Just for you asking that, I will give you a... ruby?"

Looking at the note with skepticism, Circle wondered if the statement was trustworthy. Just then, a ruby rolled out in the shadows, much to his disbelief. He picked up the ruby, examining it to see if it's a real one, and not a fake. Turns out, it's real. After a bit of poking around the ruby, he came to find out it's a REAL one. He gasped, not believing this is true for a second.

He put the ruby in his pocket, with the gun, then picked up the paper and pencil. He quickly made his choice.

He gave note back into the shadows, along with the pencil. It didn't take long until the paper came back out, and picked it up.

"GOOD CHOICE."

Chapter 2 came out really soon, the same day! I have lots of time, since it's the summer. When school gets back, production is obviously gonna be slower, so keep that in mind! Part 3 and 4 are expected to come out tomorrow! I honestly feel more welcome here than in scratch, and I'm a pretty good writer!

I wonder how Square is doing?
