Circle was lying on the floor, due to him being up all night. Even after his entire deal with that shadowy figure, he didn't go to sleep. He kept himself up, brainstorming ideas for the place. No longer was it about the shop that he and Square was planning. They could score it big with the rewards they were gonna get. He may be thinking a little too greedy, but he's thinking of the trio! The richest three polygons in the city! He ended up passing out on the floor, thinking all about the great future that lies right ahead. Not like he was gonna do anything early on in the day anyway.
Later, a certain nervous square shaped friend knocked on the door. He was wondering why his friend was not going to his house. It was noon. He would usually come to his house early to plan the shop. He was worried, is he okay?! Is he hurt?! IS HE DEAD?! He knocked harder, getting more scared for his friend's safety. His bangs on the door got so powerful, it almost was like he was gonna break the door down. Circle eventually woke up, angrily rolling fast to the door.
"HEY! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"
Square froze. He quickly realized that was Circle's voice. He thought he screwed up. After what felt like an eternity, he spoke up, in a really terrified tone through the door.
"C- Cir- Circle..? I- It's me..."
Circle's face softened. He didn't think Square would knock on his door that loud..
"W- Wait. Square? Why'd you knock on the door that loud?"
"I- I was worried! Y- You didn't come to my house, like you said you would! I'm so sorry!"
Circle forgot. He felt really bad. He kept his mind on the deal all night. It's his fault.. He opened the door to find his very fearful friend.
"h- heyy..."
"Square? Don't be sorry! It's just that.. I never would've expected you to ever bang on my door like that!"
He quickly said, sweating.
"Look, I'm sorry! I'll give you this ruby if you want!"
Square stopped to stare at the ruby, before looking back up at Circle's face.
"A- Are you mad at m- me?"
"No I'm not! Just don't.. bang on my door hardly."
Square quickly embraced his friend, tightly. For a very weak polygon, mentally, he had a very strong grip. Circle, not expecting this outcome, nervously moved him away. Square's eyes then caught the ruby again. He pulled back from the round shape, about to speak up, but Circle interrupted him, noticing him stare at the gem.
"You're wondering where I got this?"
"y- yes..."
"Well, I got this from a nice stranger in the shadows, in the middle of the nigh-"
"You GOT A RUBY FROM A STRANGER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?!"
Square shouted, in a mix of confusion and fear. Circle smirked at him.
"Yeah! Pretty cool, huh?"
"B- But what if you got hurt?!"
He patted his (shoulder?), reassuring his best friend.
"Don't worry! I brought a gun just in case. Luckily I didn't need to use it!"
"B- But still.."
Square was hesitant and stubborn, really wanting his friend to be safe. Circle sighed, in a fit of annoyance, but also, in a interested tone.
"You're really worried for my safety, huh?"
"Y- Yeaahh.. I am.."
"I'll be okay, alright? I'll always be here. Trust me."
"Okay.."
Square softly smiled at him.
"Let's get to the point, alright? Y'know, about the ruby, and more about The Deal."
He especially got his attention, but was also a bit scared for his safety.
"Y- Yeah. What.. about it?"
"So, the ruby was part of a deal. It was given to me to trust the deal."
"W- What deal?"
"So, I made a deal with someone, don't get scared.. at midnight..."
Square had a hint of fear on his face, but kept it right inside him.
"So, we're not gonna be planning the shop anymore, okay?"
Square was very disappointed, and also very confused. He wanted to keep working on it!
"W- Why?"
"Because we got something better! We can get Triangle and start working on an abandoned building, so we can use it in a play place!"
"Oh, okay.. But Triangle's mean..."
"Aw come on! You can get through this! I'll tell him to be nicer, okay?"
"Got it.."
"I'm going inside to call him, okay?"
"Okay.."
As Circle was gonna go inside with Square, he asked him a question.
"Wait, why didn't you call me to wake me up?"
Square forgot about the phone, since he was going to his house in a hurry, he didn't stop to think.. He replied in a very nervous tone.
"I.. got so caught up.. In my worrying..."
"I'm listening?"
"That I.. forgot.."
"Oh Square, maybe... you shouldn't worry about me so much, okay?"
"Yeah.."
He patted his head, going inside. Square followed him inside.

this is kind of a two parter of a chapter lol
Chapter 3 and 4 are gonna be like one chapter. I just wanted to release Chapter 3 early so I could get more views heheheheheheheh
