Where Hershey I said coming into the barn it was hot summer day
My dad looked around the barn of chickens  he was cleaning the hen house. i don't know son I haven't seen anyone today probably somewhere on the farm with cats or other dogs tried calling his name.
We call and we call we couldn't find him i ran up and down the road and hill even as it started raining I kept calling Hershey where is he?? and called him ;stood outside until dad came calling me to get inside because it was getting dark outside.i too upset to eat dinner I check the whole house and I check at donarld house. yes I let him loose he walks freely around plus my dad lived on the farm where lot of animals roam around. he's very well trained he usually comes running if you whistle or call his name or shake bag of food my dog loves to eat we change his bowl of food and water he was missing for 3 days now we put up poster and dad call around of other neighbors and I went on had few fights with other kids who taught they could bully me or my little brother Jonas but found out hard way about me coming from the city , summer was long I'm was ready to go home no way my dog would had gone missing living with my mom he's love me I love him I treat him very well I check cows and goats the pigs and even ducks pond nothing dad was teaching him how to hunt and stuff he loved the water we had like pond nothing for a dog to run off something wasn't right I ask the neighbors I had Mrs Taylor talk to her kids nothing I sitting at the table drawing posters then cried to mom about why she let me stay for the summer I didn't care I was 13 or I'm older kid I lost my dog everyone seems like they don't care or too busy to care my mom said he has a tracker or tag on him so if he is found they can call him in so i waited 3 days by the phone nothing happened so far
Son my dad said looks like your getting depressed how about we hop in the truck and go to the dog pound see if anybody (call in ) see a chocolate lab.
Yes but  dad he got a collar on with his name and my mom phone number and jacks address on his collar
It's doesn't matter son we can still go because sometimes when a dog get loose they can loose they collars that was on them
Okay dad let just go then I follow my dad to pick up truck.
We came back around supper time empty handed I ask Ms Taylor if I can bring my dinner up to my room I didn't feel like talking dad understood how I felt so he didn't agrue or get upset with me. I lay in bed I didn't even eat dinner even though ms Taylor cooking is really good I still didn't feel like eating I just kept thinking where could my dog had gone I slept for 4 hours then I shaking up like someone was urging me to get up now it was my dad son get up
I was confused dad it's 3am in the morning I said sun don't come up until 5am
Dad sometimes has me waking up early to help on the farm since working outside in the summer heat and can be really hot I know where Hershey is at
I shot up you do where is he I got so excited but realize he wasn't here
Dad close the door no he lock the attic room door
Dad what's going on
Son I got to tell you something you must not tell a soul promise me you won't say anything out ordinary because what I'm about to tell you is out of ordinary
Okay dad I won't I just want my dog
That's the thing it involves Hershey
Dad what do you mean it's 3am and you saying you know where is Hershey so where is he
He pulls out the same red box I saw in the attic when I first got here and cleaned out few months ago
You joking me dad right there no way he's fitting in that box
Dad sat down I should had told you about this box I should move it long ago before anyone could touch it I try to hide it up here because I know no one goes up here but then you coming over to stay for the summer so I forgot to move it
Bullshit dad what do I got to do with anything besides that small box from the looks of things and stuff I seen up here from cleaning it looks like you guys forgot it long before i got here more like months ago you old junk
Well son what I'm about to show you and and tell you you might not believe until you see for yourself
I try to grab it from him he wrestles with me for good 5 minutes he didn't want to give it to me he kinda held onto for dear life just listen pushing me away he said I nodded dad not good with emotions and stuff
When I was dating your mother
Dad please not this story again I probably heard it about 10 times about how they meet from mom and my other family members story getting annoying to me I wasn't into mushy stuff.
No son listen when I was dating your mother my mother had pass away from cancer I had this one photo of her your aunt from my mother side gave me this box on the day of her funeral now
Why did she give you that box why is it so important that you won't let me touch it
He reached in his pants pocket pulled out another picture
I'm afraid I'm have to show you see this box is magical I looked confused and very interested what he saying even if he did sounded crazy
Son whatever you put in the box it will take you to exact memory and it will hold it forever
I thought that what memory box do dad I thought you supposed to put stuff in the box and supposedly to keep it in the box so it doesn't get broken or lost it like time cap or time castle you supposed to see from 10 years from now
Yeah except this box is different you see once you put it in the box the memory can come alive or should I say bring you back into time of memory you put it in but once you remove from the box the memories or object ease forever
What do mean forever how does this have to do with Hershey
Well Jonas I saw him put his collar of Hershey in the box so I'm guessing Hershey is in the box like a memory
Now I heard bullshit before I heard lies but this sounded crazy was he my dad messing with my head
So you telling me my dog is ease forever I'm never getting him back
No son you see he open the box and he show me do you see anything in the box no I said the box is empty wait why was the box empty if Jonas put his collar in the box I asked
Dad are you playing a joke on me is this some kind of excuse why I can't get my dog back because if so
The room behind to change like change my dad grab my arm the room expanded he said Hershey Hershey like 3 times we wasn't in the attic anymore we was in chicken coop my dad let go I snatched my hand so fast then I heard a bark and I saw my brother from behind the coop Jonas I said how did you get in here
How many days was Jonas was missing that isn't Jonas that memory of him look I saw Jonas pulling Hershey ears then pulling his collar off next thing dad grab me again because Jonas took his collar put it in the box that he had in his hand
How do I get my dog back
He's right here
One thing about this box you have to replace a memory for a memory you can take things out the box but it will ease he put your dogs collar in the box so it ease him in present life so you have to replace the memory with something else do you have anything else to replace the memory I frantically looked all over my body then I remember my ring my best friend gave me when I was like 4 grade he's moved out state this I said gave him the ring no he said don't give it to me give it to memory Jonas but before you do
If is a object and not a photo he said otherwise your friend will be stuck in the box
How do you remember my friend gave me this because I was there when he did remember we was at the park with your friend and your mother we playing at the park then it rain we said time to go back we had to drive 5 hours back to the city yeah I said then he move away we use to talk on the phone and play games online but yeah what you mean
He open the box the box had key if is an object that belongs to a living soul you must take key out the box and place object in the box I place the ring in box stared at him well I stared at Jonas who didn't notice I was there but kept repeating taking collar off once we was back in my room then you have to lock the box with the key but if a photo you can just place it in the box but you must give it like a kiss or something write like the date and small note on it on it suddenly I heard barking outside of my window Hershey was downstairs looking up at the attic Hershey I call out come here boy
I don't want to see that box dad
Well that the thing I'm giving it to you make sure you keep from other people in the house don't let anyone i mean anybody touch it
He handed me the box keep it lock dad just a question
Dad you ever leave stuff in the box yes he said okay so if I say open the box and look into the box will I'll get stuck in the box no he said you own the box as well I do my messages and memories as well your mothers is in the box you can travel in time to look in the memory as long you know times and dates when memories happened as long you remembered how memories happen don't forget it or go in the memory and change or steal anything from the memories you won't get stuck however if someone who isn't belong in the box or isn't there can get struck in the box that why Hershey got struck in the  box if they go in the box and steal anything I mean anything out the box they can ease the time line or change the furture forever you got up 4 days before the sunrise otherwise it be goner
You try anything silly dad ? No but your uncle did let just say I learn valuable lessons never take anything from your aunts on my side of the family but I did get see some beautiful things about you and myself as well memories of my mother it's something you can experience but you must be cautious of value of the memory box
Max Mrs Taylor calling why is Hershey barking down the stairs and no one answers to him I go let him back up remember don't let anyone touch it
