Allison's POV

I was awoken with my heart beating out of my chest, it felt like someone was sitting on my chest preventing me from getting full deep breathes.

All I can remember from my nightmare is being on top of the roof of the hotel, and being held back while some shadowy figure stands over top of Papa while he's on the ground bleeding.

I looked around for a few seconds until my eyes landed on Papa's bed. I remembered our conversation from the night before.

thinking about it brought a smile to my face. I crawled out of bed and walked over towards his bed.

I slowly crawled into his bed, so I didn't disturb his sleep. Papa must be a light sleeper, because once I got myself all comfy he had spoken.

"Hello little fawn." I turned over expecting him to have his eyes open. But once I faced him his eyes were closed.

"Hi, I had a nightmare again and I remembered our conversation from last night." His eyes opened for a brief moment.

"I am sorry my dear. Make yourself comfortable and we shall talk about it later on if you wish to."

With that, I turned back over and Papa tucked me in on my side of the bed and I fell back to sleep instantly.

Fast forward a few hours later and I stretched and yawned after a good rest of my sleep. I looked over expecting Papa to still be in bed, but he was gone.

I got up and walked into the bathroom to get ready for the day. Once I was all showered and dressed in my signature outfit, I decided to look for Papa.

I had looked everywhere and decided I should check and see if the others had seen him.

I teleported down to the lobby and found Angel on his phone, Charlie and Vaggie next to the couch that Angel was sitting on.

"Sorry to interrupt guys, but have any of you spotted Papa at all this morning?" The group looked towards me.

"He grabbed a coffee a bit ago and headed towards the second floor balcony." I thanked the princess and headed towards the second floor.

Not before eavesdropping on their conversation.

Charlie seemed really panicked. "Okay, so the extermination is coming in six months instead of a year. No big deal. Just a little setback. Nothing we can't handle. Just angels cutting out timetable in half. But who needs a whole year to save souls? Am I right?"

He panicking starts to get worse. "And next time when they cut the time in half again, and again, we'll just handle it, right?!" Vaggie grabbed Charlie by the shoulders to help calm her down.

"Yes. We will." Vaggie said in hopes that what she said would give Charlie a little bit of hope.

Angel then pipped up. "Oh, please, ya had less than half a chance when you started all this salvation bullshit. And now..." Angel's phone vibrated, presumably with texts from Val.

"Ain't no silver lining this time toots." Angel said while looking at his phone.

"Sure there is! We just...have to look a little harder for it!" Charlie said with a little bit more hope.

"Well, while you're lookin, the rest'a hell's goin nuts." Angel waves his phone in front of their faces.

"People are already freakin out about the news. Look at what's happenin in the Doomsday District." Angel scrolled down through some articles and a picture of a demon screaming in front of a fire shows up.
