The two dragons were fighting in the air as they left you behind on the cliff, forcing you to watch in horror.
''Crimson! Go!'' This time, you listen to Cardinal's orders and whip around to flee, but turn to reveal a dark green dragon. Crystals litter their scales, making them seem brighter than they actually are. Sunlight reflects off of their already glowing scales, almost blinding you.
You recognized the dragon perfectly.
"Demantoid?'' Your eyes widen as you realize you were actually able to speak.
''Hello Crimson.''' He finally spoke. His voice was surprisingly smooth for his appearance. He seemed to be over 200 years old, but showed every sign of youth in his voice.
Your vision suddenly becomes tunneler, making only the other dragon visible.
''Listen here young dragon. You must wield your claw onto the pages of that journal carefully, or something could come after you.'' Demantoid continues.
You tilt your head in confusion. What did he mean? Surely a random journal he got from the Moonlit Caverns market wouldn't cause disaster for the continent! You open your mouth to ask for an explanation. The other dragon takes a step into the abyss, leaving you alone.
''Wait! No!'' You call out as the remains of your dreams start fading. You needed answers! How would you prevent anything if you don't know how? The darkness engulfs you, just like every time.
You quickly shoot up off of the soft grass underneath you. The remains of your dream still linger in your mind as you try to piece out the meaning.
What did he mean? You wonder.
Suddenly, you feel a crawling sensation on your arm, startling you. You look down to see a thin, black stick figure resembling the shape of a dragon just without wings staring up at you. It didn't have talons or paws and no eyes you observe, just resulting in more confusion on how it made its way over to you. It lets out a small chirp, still leaving you stunned. What sort of new creature was this? You thought you had researched everything on the continent, but apparently you were wrong. You quickly pull out your journal and ink to document whatever this thing was. It seemed to be some sort of bug, but still didn't show any factors of being one. What kind of bug would be shaped like a dragon?
If this thing is unknown, how about I name it? You smile at the thought.
How about, this thing will be called a Scribble. You nod proudly at the name.
You flip to a new page in your book and dip your claw in ink.
Entry 2
I have just stumbled upon this strange creature. They have a thin body resembling a dragon, but have no wings, no talons or paws, no snout, and no eyes.
You write as you make a small doodle of a Scribble.
This bug-like creature just seemed to appear on my leg. From what I can see of it, it seems to be able to retract its limbs into its body. Its small dots for feet aren't fully filled with pure black, and instead move around as if someone is filling them in. Same with the head. Its long tail curls around my arm for grip as I adjust my arm, but it feels like there's nothing holding on.
You glance over to the Scribble to study it more.
Maybe I can try feeding it? You question as you grab a bit of meat off of the bones of the bird from the night before. You grab the Scribble and it lets out a squeak of alarm before you set it down on the soft ground, placing down the meat with it. The small creature approaches the food and looks up at you with probably confusion. You nudge the meat closer to it, but it steps back. Did it even eat?
