gupta's brought a golden age anew Kalidasa's words, forever shining through
In India's rich and vibrant past
A chapter dark, forever to last
Mughal rule, a mix of art and strife Brought beauty, but also endlesslife
Marathas fought with shivaji's brave cry rajputs stood with honor in their eye
guru nanak's teaching spread far and wide
Sikhism born, with a newpath to abide
In India's soil, a foreign seed
was shown by British hands, with deceitful deed
they came as traders, but soon did stride
with conquests might, and a colonizer's pride.
They drained the wealth, and exploited the land Left scars of proverty, and a divided stand.
But still India Rose from the ashes of pain
And shook of the shackles to reign again
The freedom fighters with hearts a blaze for their rights and a new eras gaze
Their courage and strength a beacon of hope
Guided India forward to a brighter scope
The British may left but there impact remains
a remainder of the past and the struggle that still sustain
Thus the tale of India's past is told
a story of strength of trials to unfold
