A few days after the brunch at the Blackwood estate, Olivia reached out to Alexis. They had been best friends for years, but now the dynamics had an added layer of complexity given Alexis's relationship with Damien.

"Hey, Lexi! Let's catch up over coffee," Olivia suggested over the phone. "I want to hear all about how you and Damien are handling things."

Alexis agreed, and they met at their favorite café, a cozy spot where they often spent hours chatting.

As they settled into a corner booth, Olivia gave Alexis a mischievous grin. "So, how was it meeting the rest of the family in this new context?"

Alexis laughed, appreciating Olivia's straightforwardness. "It was nerve-wracking, but I think it went well. Your parents were kind, and your dad asked all the tough questions as expected."

Olivia nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Yeah, Dad can be intense, but he means well. I'm glad you handled it smoothly. But seriously, what's going on between you and Damien? Is it just for show, or is there something real?"

Alexis took a sip of her coffee, considering her words. "It started as a business arrangement, but... it's complicated. There's definitely an attraction, and we're starting to connect on a deeper level."

Olivia's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "I knew it! You two have chemistry. Just be careful, okay? Damien can be a bit guarded, but he's a good guy."

"I know," Alexis said, smiling. "Thanks, Liv. It's just a lot to navigate, especially with my family's protectiveness and everything."

Olivia reached across the table, giving Alexis's hand a reassuring squeeze. "You've got this, Lexi. And if you ever need to talk or just vent, I'm here for you."

Their conversation shifted to lighter topics, and they spent the rest of the afternoon catching up and enjoying each other's company. Despite the complexities of the situation, Alexis felt grateful for Olivia's unwavering support.

Back at home that evening, Alexis reflected on her relationship with Damien. She realized that with Olivia's friendship and support, she could face the challenges ahead with a bit more confidence.

The lines between their fake relationship and real feelings were starting to blur, and Alexis knew she had to be careful but also honest with herself and Damien.

Later that night, Alexis received a text from Damien: "How did coffee with Olivia go?"

She smiled, replying: "Great, as always. She's a good friend."

Damien texted back: "I'm glad. We should talk more about where we're headed. Tomorrow evening?"

Alexis agreed, feeling a mix of anticipation and uncertainty. She knew that the conversation with Damien could shape their future, and she was ready to face it head-on, with Olivia's friendship as a reassuring anchor in her life.
