Rüya read the note again just to make sure she is seeing what she thinks she is seeing.
What is this?
Yaman turns around to look at her. "What's up, are you coming?" He asks her.
Rüya stuffs the note back into her pocket and hurries behind Yaman.
"Welcome home! Can and I arrived a little while ago. Everything was fine in the hospital." Neslihan says from the living room.
"That's good to hear. Was there any progress with him?" Yaman asks.
"His doctor said, that he might start talking soon. He feels safe here at home and might start opening up. There were some good signs." Neslihan says.
They all look at Can, who's sitting on the floor with a coloring book. He doesn't color it though, he just looks at the pictures.
Rüya walks over to him and sandwiches his face between her hands.
"My little bean, are you okay? Did you miss me?" Rüya says to the boy.
He looks at her and hugs her. Yaman looks at them and smiles fondly.
"Maybe we'll try and get him to nap or otherwise rest for while. He has been through a lot." Yaman says.
Neslihan nods. "I'll make sure dinner is served on time. Can had a snack when we got home."
"That's good. He won't be hungry for a few hours." Rüya says. She picks Can up from the floor.
"We'll head to our room. We'll tell about what we learned today at dinner. It's... A lot to process." Yaman says.
Neslihan looks at them, about to say something. She seems to decide to drop the topic for Can's sake though.
The couple heads upstairs and closes the door behind themselves. Rüya puts Can on the bed. "Can, you can try and nap if you want to. We can read to you or watch a movie or something. You must be a little tired after going to the hospital today." Rüya explains to the child.
He looks at them and lays down on the bed. He doesn't close his eyes though. Maybe he just wants to be close to his parents.
Yaman smiles at the little boy and lays next to him. He smooths his hand over Can's hair. The boy seems to like it.
Rüya lays on the other side of the boy. Suddenly, she remembers the note. Her anxiety shoots up again.
Based on her experience with the kidnappers, there's no way she's going to keep this a secret from Yaman. But bringing this subject up feels difficult.
"Yaman... Look, Defne put this in my pocket when we were leaving her house just now... What do you think it means?" Rüya says as she pulls out the crumbled up note.
Yaman's eyes sharpen as he reaches for the note. He reads it through and looks at Rüya, alarmed. "Rüya, I got a bad feeling from her, but this seems suspicious. How could she possibly know anything about Can's case?"
Rüya nods. This indeed is extremely weird. She had already allowed herself to accept Defne as her aunt. This note had made her crash back into reality. If Defne has something to do with Can's kidnappers, Rüya would have even more deceitful family than she had originally thought.
"I don't know. She seems to be my aunt for sure, and her connection to the case seems unlikely. Unless she has been recruited to the Koca. Somehow I don't believe that to be the case." Rüya responds.
"Should I go and meet her? Hear her out?" Yaman asks.
Rüya looks at him, irritated. "What do you mean you? I'm going for sure! She gave the note to me."
