The Interogation

Akira Asashi woke up to a new day, greeted by a call from his boss, Sakuro Saki.

Sakuro: "Hey, Akira, we need you at the station right now."

Akira: "On my way, boss."

Akira hurried to the station and found Sakuro waiting for him.

Sakuro: "Akira, I have news. Remember the note you found yesterday? Detective Akimitsu found a similar one with the same words. We believe these cases are connected."

Akira: "What do you need me to do, boss?"

Sakuro: "You'll interrogate Kenji Arata. Akimitsu will handle Chiyo Yumisho."

Akira: "Understood."

In separate interrogation rooms, Akimitsu confronted Chiyo Yumisho while Akira questioned Kenji Arata.

Akimitsu: "Was it you, brother?"

Chiyo Yumisho remained silent.

Akimitsu: "Chiyo, talk to me. Did you write this?" He showed the note.

Meanwhile,

Akira Asashi: "Did you do it?"

Kenji Arata hesitated.

Akira Asashi: "Don't make me repeat myself." He showed the note. "What does this mean? Did you kill her?"

Suddenly, Chiyo Yumisho asked, "Can I have a pen?"

Akimitsu handed him a pen. Without hesitation, Chiyo stabbed it into his own eye, causing Akimitsu to shout in shock.

In the other room,

Kenji Arata: "Can I have a pen?"

Akira reluctantly gave him a pen. Kenji Arata took it and plunged it into his own eye. The room echoed with Akira's shout, mingling with Akimitsu's cries next door.

An hour later, both detectives found themselves in a different kind of interrogation room, facing questions about the shocking events.
